Great experience at the new Venice Steakhouse. Vibe inside was moody – great spot for a date night.
Food-wise, enjoyed everything I had – BLTA wedge, hamachi, filet, carrots, and the butterscotch pot de creme. The hamachi had great flavor and was substantial. Enjoyed that the wedge wasn’t blue cheese since that overpowers everything else. Nice crisp lettuce. Filet was super tender – not as juicy as I was expecting, but still cooked to the correct temp. The pot de crème was nice and light which was perfect after a big meal.
Happy hour (bar and patio) has great deals.

Stopped in tonight for my first time because I live very close by and heard that this little steakhouse is run by one of the two founders of Petit Trois, which is one of my favorite restaurants in LA. I can confirm this is a really solid and classy steakhouse and a great recommendation for dinner. Parking can be a bit tricky, there isn’t a dedicated lot, but you can find street parking on the side streets. Our server was very polite and everything that we ordered came out very fast. Inside is also designed really well. It has a classy, mid-century modern look to it, and I think it really added to the experience. They have outdoor covered seating, which wasn’t being used on a cold December night, but the tables near the full-size bar, as well as the dining room with a cozy roaring fireplace were very full and lovely.
I started off my meal with the Baby Beats Salad and loved it. The horseradish goat cheese was especially amazing, my only complaint was that it was a very small portion. For my entrée, I chose the 8 ounce Filet Mignon with a Green Peppercorn Sauce and absolutely loved it. The combination was almost sweet, and something I would highly recommend. We also ordered the Butterscotch Pot de Creme for dessert and that too was a wonderful treat. It was not overly sweet, but had a pleasant, strong vanilla flavor. I would highly recommend this place for a date, or dinner with friends or family. I plan to be back in the future to try more items.

It’s a GREAT steakhouse! Really cool! Very cosy & romantic, extremely dark lol. The menu is small but it has everything you need. The name says for itself.
We had a wedge salad (it’s not as strong as you used to taste) delicious, really!! Filet minion & no bone-in ribeye – the steaks do not need any sauces honestly, they taste amazing, carrots – delicious!!!! Great wine options, they do not have cocktails yet, but they are working on that. Coming back 100%

I had an excellent filet mignon with an assortment of sides, after a Caesar salad and a cheese plate. My favorite sides were the buttery whipped potatoes, the tiny beets with whipped feta and walnuts, and the baby carrots in yogurt sauce. The contrast between outside (hectic Venice beach) and inside (warm, quiet and inviting) was my favorite part.

Excited to try this spot before it gets super trendy. The food speaks for itself – delicious, creative, but rooted in simplicity. The atmosphere is giving Mad Men … the staff are super nice and music was lots of Alabama shakes and Black keys / perfect. The star of the night was the salmon w red wine sauce – prob the best salmon I’ve ever had .. and I’m a foodie who is HARD to please! Highly rec

As a steak and dessert girlie, Venice Steakhouse absolutely delivered!
The food was incredible from start to finish. The steak was cooked to perfection and honestly tastier than any of the top steakhouses in LA. We paired it with their scalloped potatoes and beef tallow fries, and the steak sauce accompaniments were delicious, elevating every single bite.
Do not miss the butterscotch pot de crème. It was absolutely divine and the perfect way to end the meal.
The mocktails were also fantastic– creative, flavorful, and beautifully presented. It’s nice to see a place that puts as much thought into their non-alcoholic drinks as their cocktail menu.
The service was wonderful throughout our visit. I need to give a special shoutout to Nick, who went above and beyond even though he wasn’t our designated server.
If you love steak and dessert, Venice Steakhouse is a must!

I’m honestly shocked this place has good reviews. First, the food is genuinely bad. On the west side, there are so many steakhouses that serve incredible cuts with thoughtful wine pairings — this is not one of them. The steak was underwhelming, and the wine selection is pure crap. Also all the veggie sides taste gross. Second, the service was worse than the food. Multiple items were forgotten, we waited an unreasonable amount of time, and when we politely asked where our food was, the staff was dismissive and rude. To make matters worse, the card machine wasn’t working at the end of the night, and instead of helping us resolve it smoothly, they made us feel like an inconvenience when all we were trying to do was pay and leave. My group came in December, and I hadn’t planned on writing a review — but after hearing a friend describe a nearly identical experience, I felt compelled to share. Unfortunately, this wasn’t a one-off situation. I’d strongly recommend choosing one of the many better steakhouse options nearby. PS don’t go on your birthday and don’t order a dessert no matter how encouraged you are by the staff, you’ll be paying for it.

Loved discovering this awesome new place in Venice. As the only steakhouse in the neighborhood, this place will surely book up as soon as the word gets out. The BLT wedge is one of the best I’ve had with the freshest tomatoes and a lovely house made buttermilk dressing that is not overpowering and surprisingly light and flavorful. Also not to miss is the hamachi crudo. It was a nice surprise to see it on the menu at a steak place and does not disappoint. The steaks were amazing, great cuts of meat and cooked to the exact temperature I ordered it at. And when it comes to sides, I realize the fries and mushrooms might be the easy choice, but I’d recommend the scallop potatoes or the carrots. Overall Venice Steakhouse is a real find, And I will definitely be back. Shout out to the chef for his innovative approach and great care he takes. Regarding ambiance. Ask for table 10 if sitting in the dining room.
