Quick service and friendly staff. Chips, salsa and cheese sauce to start! Had the Enchilada Dinner with chicken,beef, cheese enchiladas with rice and beans. It was ok. But those fajitas looked and smelled tasty as they passed my table. Might try those next time.
Stopped in today and got the Super Burrito, it was huge. Not much filling but it was still good. Friendly staff!

I was down in Guthrie visiting my mom who moved from Miami to Texas. SHE WAS VISITING FRIENDS IN GUTHRIE we both love Mexican. Type in to my GPS. Mexican food near me. El rodeo it was two blocks from my destination. It was the best hole in the wall I have been to in a long time.. The waiter was excellent and knowledgeable about the the atmosphere was great also. I would recommend this spot to my friends and family!!!!! Dishes Was: Chicken Sour Cream Enchiladas, Rice, and Beans.

The staff is friendly and attentive, and the portion sizes were good for the price. I wish I could saw more positive things about this place, but the fact that the place was nearly empty on a Friday evening speaks volumes. The food was just short of being good and I felt like I had to fight the flies to be able to eat my meal. I would say the salsa tasted homemade.

I ordered the 4 beef tamale meal. Order was served within 5 minutes. Tasted like warmed up TV dinners. Two people with me said the same about their meals. Heard others complaining to. Would not suggest.

Myself and a friend were coming back from Fort Worth, Texas, to Wichita, Kansas, and thought this would be a good place to eat dinner. We both ordered the chicken chimichangas. We were served chips, salsa, and cheese sauce while we waited for our chimichangas. We both enjoyed the cheese sauce. I poured the extra cheese sauce on my chimichanga. We both agreed the food was especially great. We both ordered Mountain Dew for drinks. Overall, this is a great place for mexican food. I have recommended it to several people I know if they are traveling along interstate 135 around Guthrie, Oklahoma

Mrs. Flip Out and I headed out today and decided to give El Rodeo a try. The waitress brought out the usual set up and we ordered grilled jalapeños and onions to go with some corn tortillas. I had the cheese enchiladas with sour cream sauce. They were good and the sauce had a nice blend of flavors with the enchiladas. I enjoyed the rice and beans, as well. Mrs. Flip Out ordered the shrimp tostadas. The shrimp, avocado, onion mixture/ topping was very fresh and was a nice light lunch. We also liked their special salsa and it had a nice flavor.
