Special japanese seats in addition to the tables and bar.
If you ordering Nigiri and you don’t like Wassabi remember to ask them not to spread Wassabi between the rice and the fish.
Fire Viking sushi. The place has a Japanese decoration and it seems really cool. I will definitely be back
They passed the first test… miso soup that was not salty ++! My green tea was perfect, as was the sake.
The sushi was fresh and tasty. I had my usual spicy tuna handroll, and a rainbow roll. The tuna and salmon were of excellent quality.
The music was authentic and kind of made you think you stumbled into a mom and pop operation somewhere in Osaka.
All-in-all, after trying six or seven sushi/Japanese restaurants in the Portland/Beaverton area, we now have our ho to!
If you’re lucky, you can get one of the coveted booths with the sunken floor table. But be prepared to be shoeless.
The main issue was that it took forever to get our food and for a table of 4 we all received our orders at different times. 2 people received their order then maybe 30 minutes later one of us received part of their order then another 15-20 minutes later we received the rest of it, that was an awful experience in itself.
You have to place your order with a QR code that’s linked to your table # and you cannot make separate orders so it all goes onto one bill that doesn’t get split at the end. This just makes it a little inconvenient for larger groups that plan on paying separately.
