I’ve lived here for a year and a half and this was my first time eating here but let me tell you it was amazing!!! The food was outstanding I had fried shrimp, fried oysters, grilled flounder, cheese, grits, and turnip greens and hush puppies. Everything was perfect and Nana knew exactly everything about the menu she was also very friendly give that girl a raise I’m gonna be back with more people. Thanks yall

This star review is based off of the food and experience I had from the very last visit. My wife and I are locals and have been going there for years. But the last time we went, we waited a thirty minutes for food and there and there was very few people inside. And nobody in line also, they initially, I made a mistake on my wife’s order. Because she has celiac disease, and they had put hush puppies on her meal. Because she gets very sick. Then, when we got the food, it was honestly cold. We really do love this place. But our last experience was surprisingly bad. For how many times we’ve been there. We’ve never had a bad experience. But we spent twenty dollars on each of our meals, and genuinely didn’t even like it. I got cobia and she got grouper, and it was very underseasoned compared to what they usually do. The young kids working, there are genuinely really nice though.

Ft. Walton/Destin is a tourist trap. Most tourist trap don’t have good food and this area is no exception, so it was nice to find STEWBY’S. The staff were very friendly and polite. They obviously liked working there because they displayed what appeared to be genuine affection in their interactions. The restaurant was spotless.
We tried the fried fish tacos, gumbo, fried Okra, and the fried shrimp dinner. The food was fresh and delicious. Portion size was great for the price. We definitely left there full and satisfied. I highly recommend this place!

Went to this local favorite to try for the first time. Didn’t know what to expect, it’s a walk up service, they prepare your order and call you to the pick up window. The place Carrie’s that beach restaurant vibe and was very clean. The staff was friendly and gave great advice. I had the grilled Amber Jack with green beans, potato salad and a side of gumbo. First, their hush puppies are FANTASTIC. Crunchy with great flavor. The Amber Jack was perfectly seasoned, maybe a grilled a little too long, but still had great flavor. The green beans are made in a bacon base and are fantastic and still a little snap to them. The potato salad is thick, hearty and pretty good. The gumbo was okay too, had pretty solid flavor and lots of different ingredients. If you get it, you’re gonna want to let it sit as it’s really hot (temp). I’m glad people suggested I try it. It is good.

All I can say is wow!!! I was visiting in Ft. Walton a couple of weeks ago and hit these guys up 3 times!! My favorite is the mahi mahi sandwich yet everything was great!! Great service as well as a clean restaurant!! Oh and the onion rings were amazing as well!!

I’ve eaten a lot of fried fish sandwiches in my day… but Stewby’s is my favorite!! Their fish selection is great. Their fries are the crispy battered type (superior in my opinion) and the tea is delicious! That’s about all it takes to keep me coming back, but I’ve brought enough people here to know that the rest of their menu is wonderful as well!
When my mom comes to visit this is our first stop and normally deserves one or a few more after that 😉

The food at Stewby’s is always so good! Anytime someone visiting from out of town asks where to get the best seafood, this is where I send them. I’ve eaten at all of the fine dining seafood options around, and some are very good…….but I honestly prefer Stewby’s over anywhere. The staff is always kind, helpful, and efficient in taking my order……and the restaurants are always clean! Honestly, what more could you ask for?

Went for the grouper sandwich and onion rings. Fish batter was well seasoned, and the grouper was incredibly fresh and fried to perfection. The onion rings were well seasoned, and freshly breaded and fried. The staff is also incredibly nice!

My nephew has been wanting to take me here and told me about this place! I SHOULD NOT HAVE WAITED SO LONG!!! SUPER DELICIOUS!! I had fried chicken tacos and hushpuppies, shared some yummy okra. Fresh made, delicious sauces. Very messy but you know it’s goood then! Excellent service.
