I had the pleasure of dining at Le Mexicain in Geneva, and I must say it was an exceptional experience from start to finish. The service was nothing short of outstanding – attentive, warm, and efficient, making us feel welcome from the moment we walked in.
As for the food, the tacos were a delightful surprise. Made with real corn tortillas, they had that authentic taste that’s hard to come by, bursting with fresh and bold flavors. The chimichangas were simply delightful – crispy on the outside, yet soft and flavorful on the inside. One of the standout dishes was definitely the gambas a la diabla – perfectly cooked shrimp with just the right amount of heat to keep you coming back for more.
We couldn’t resist trying the tres leches for dessert, and it did not disappoint. It was moist, rich, and the perfect sweet end to an amazing meal.
If you’re craving authentic Mexican cuisine in Geneva, Les Mexicaines is a must-visit. Highly recommend!

We made a reservation for Tuesday evening and arrived with our two children at 6:30 PM, only to find the restaurant closed. When we called, we were told the chef was unwell, which is why they had closed. We received no prior notice and came all the way for nothing. I can’t comment on the food, but this experience was very disappointing.

Gem of a Mexican place. Be it an evening with friends or family or even as a couple, this place is a very causal joint in Center of Geneva. Bus D or tram 14 from Bel Air takes you straight to this place.

Firstly our waiter Thomas was the highlight. Super friendly, knowledgeable, passionate and generous.
The food was fantastic. I’m vegetarian and there are plenty of options. The highlight for me was simply the nachos. So flavourful and moreish.

Very cost restaurant with outdoor seating! The service is quick and staff is super friendly, a real gem in Geneva! We had all Mexican classics – guacamole, tacos, chimichanga etc. and it was delicious! Very relaxed vibe, perfect for after work dinner!

If you want to try something that mimics Mexican food you will be satisfied. But if you want to eat real Mexican cuisine I suggest you avoid the restaurant.
