First visit here and everyone in our group loved their meals. Karen was our server and she was just awesome. My meal was so good, I couldn’t wait to get at my leftovers (and my wife’s leftovers when she wasn’t looking). They are not close to where we live, but we’d definitely go back next time we’re in the area!!

I will start with the good. The place is very cute and nicely decorated, very unique ambiance in a historic home typical to the area. The service is excellent, I was very pleased with the service. The price point is reasonable. Now, I will share MY unbiased opinion of the food we ordered. I will add my perspective comes from growing up in Chicago and eating at all the Historic Italian Joints, Oakley St., Taylor St. Etc. We ordered the Lasagne, Shrimp Linguine, Parmesan Crusted Pork Chop, and Pasta Ragu. The Lasagne was just ok in taste, additionally, it wasn’t piping hot it was 2.5 stars. The Parmesan Crusted Pork Chop we did not like at all, it had an off taste in our opinion, 2 stars. The shrimp Linguine was really good, 4 stars. The Pasta Ragu is good, I would say 3.5 stars, if it was piping hot, I would probably give it 4 stars. In conclusion, it is a nice local spot with a really nice atmosphere and good service, but average food. For the owner, I did not bring any of this to your attention as I wanted an unbiased experience for review.

I have been wanting to go Rosemary and Jeans for the longest time and I am so so glad we made it! The overall atmosphere of this place is incredible! It’s homey, inviting, and all around makes you feel welcome. The staff here also brings out the best of the restaurant. Attentive, great suggestions and so so kind.
Now the food! It was amazing! Flavorful, fresh, and all around delicious! I cannot wait to get back here and sit outside on their gorgeous patio!
If you’re looking for a great Italian stop with a great feel and good food, check them out! You won’t regret it! We’ll be back!

Atmosphere deserves more stars here. Had a great date night with my wife. Servers were awesome, but the atmosphere.. it’s as if you got welcomed into someone’s Sunday night dinner and that someone serves you nothing but GREAT food. Get an appetizer. Definitely get the cookie skillet.

Love this neighborhood gem! The service is wonderful and the atmosphere is unique. We brought our family here for a birthday dinner and our waitress made the evening wonderful. Highly recommend the gnocchi and chicken parmesan sandwich.

My new favorite restaurant! We took our mom here for her 75th birthday. She is 100% Italian and said it was the best Italian food she has ever had at a restaurant aside from when she was in Italy! Love supporting small, family owned businesses, especially when they are THIS GREAT!

The restaurant is in an old mansion in downtown Lombard and is really charming.
We had two appetizers: arancini and burrata. The arancini was delicious (maybe just a little too much sauce, but since the sauce was good I let it slide). The burrata was underwhelming. It was served on top of crispy fried onions which was different. I’ll straight up tell you nothing will ever compare to McWethy’s burrata for so I don’t know why we bother ordering it anywhere else.
Next, we shared the pear and goat cheese salad, and that was great. It had fresh pears, caramelized walnuts, dried cranberries, and a light sherry vinaigrette over mixed greens with a fried goat cheese medallion on top. The flavors were absolutely perfect together.
One of the entree specials was lobster ravioli so we had to try that, and then also ordered orecchiette with sausage and rapini in a parmesan cream sauce. It was obvious the pasta was freshly made, which is always a plus. The ravioli was a huge miss for me though. The vodka-sherry sauce was far too strong and salty and completely overwhelmed any lobster flavor the ravioli might have had. And there were no visible pieces of lobster in the filling. The orecchiette was pretty good, although I found the sauce a little soupy.
We always get tiramisu when we go to a new Italian restaurant. This one was very clearly made from scratch and looked amazing. Unfortunately it did not taste amazing. The ladyfingers didn’t appear to have been soaked in espresso at all, and the mascarpone tasted like sour cream. It had a really odd flavor.
The service was excellent and you get a vibe from everyone working there that they genuinely enjoy it.
Like other reviewers have mentioned, there was an odd sewer-like smell. We were seated in the room where the door to the kitchen is.
I really wanted to love this place because it’s so cute and the people are great, but I probably wouldn’t go back except maybe to get that salad for lunch if I’m out that way.

Great restaurant with lots of character and charm. We have eaten here several times now and have always enjoyed our experience between the service, food, and ambiance, definitely a quality choice for food, fun, and atmosphere.
We brought my parents and brother and his wife and everyone agreed the food was awesome and our server Heather was amazing. Friendly, courteous, and anticipated our needs. We will definitely be back again!

A cozy Italian restaurant inside a house! The food was great we ordered the gnocchi and fettuccine asparagus. The real show stopper was the canoli- it tasted very authentic! The one disappointment was the arancini was just one rice ball which was sad because it was so amazing I wish there was more. The service was great, Mary was attentive and welcoming. Would recommend and come back

My mom and sister-in-law hosted my bridal shower here in September. The staff at Rosemary & Jeans were very friendly! They did an amazing job waiting on us and making sure we had enough food and drinks. They also allowed my mom and sister-in-law to come in early and decorate the space. Everyone raved about the food and drinks (especially the chicken & sausage cacciatore and the prosecco bar!) I would highly recommend using Rosemary & Jeans to host your next party!
