We ate dinner there Friday night around 9 the night before the half marathon. We ordered salad with grilled chicken and wings. Salads were fine, lots of veggies, chicken was a bit dry, but overall salad was fine, Wings unfortunately were rubbery, sauce wouldn’t stay on, the blue cheese was good though. The service was incredibly slow. As in we waited almost half an hour place a drink order let alone food. There were people there but we also were able to walk up and get a table for 3 immediately, so not overall crowded. One employee was apologetic for the wait, the other however was not. We missed our actual dinner reservation at a different restaurant because the hotels computers were down and they couldn’t find our reservation for several hours. So that was frustrating as well. But outside of all that stress, we wouldn’t eat there again unless we absolutely had to, unfortunately.

We come to Indy every year for the Do It Best hardware home show at the Convention Center and wouldn’t stay anywhere else. It’s clean, beds are comfy, convenient location to tons of great restaurants, and our very favorite bartender, Jeff, works there. Jeff has been here since I started attending the convention with my parents 30 years ago. We’re only here once a year and he remembers our favorite drink and has one ready as soon as we walk in the door. You can’t beat that! If you’ve never been to the Embassy Downtown Indy, you need to go and meet Jeff. He rocks!
