The girl who took our order was absolutely amazing and friendly she gave an amazing service :). I was satisfied with my fried scallops but I wish they would have given lemon slices and my boyfriend really enjoyed his fish sandwich! It was delicious. My garlic butter lobster roll was a bit dissapointing .. the lobster was dry and flavorless and kind of chewy. The fries were hot and fresh and they served this delicious sauce for the scallops all in all it was a nice experience.

I had the pleasure of being served by Summer at The Pirate truck stop and I can honestly say it was one of the best customer service experiences I’ve ever had. She was so sweet, bubbly and genuinely kind and it instantly brightened my day. Her positive energy and attentiveness made me feel truly welcomed, and it’s rare to meet someone who cares so much about making others feel good. The food is also great too! The service was good. The lobster rolls were good flavor wise, but they were mini tiny and there wasn’t much lobster in them. It wasn’t piracy, it was a highway robbery.

The manager was more than helpful and fantastic, courteous and polite very reasonable prices. Enjoy these dishes and Peggy’s Cove would cost you double this so while you get your gas, make sure you stop in and enjoy some of this delicious local seafood food made with care.

If you’re on your way to the East Coast of Canada, you are doing yourself a disservice if you do not stop to eat at this restaurant.
For us, it was the first taste of what was to come on our east coast trip, and proved to be better than many “fine” establishments we ate at on the east coast.
The lobster roll is delicious, and getting it with the fries is well worth it. My friend had the lobster club and really enjoyed it. I also got the seafood chowder which was amazing: a little cheesy, packed full of fresh seafood and vegetables and perfectly cooked potatoes.
The prices are extremely reasonable for what you get! Don’t eat at Tim’s or Subway, eat HERE!

Stopped by on a long drive. The two lobster rolls were delicious. Compared to some overpriced fancy looking ones we ordered throughout our trip, my wife and I agreed we preferred these the most. Kids had shrimp and pizza burger. Can’t go wrong with deep fried shrimp. The burger wasn’t bad. Fries were good. The burger is covered in a spaghetti type sauce which was new to me. But we all enjoyed it. It’s a truck stop so atmosphere isn’t great but if you know what to expect you’ll be pleased.

We arrived in Edmunston after 4 pm. The tourist bureau suggested The Pirate as the place for lobster. We had really good chowder and a lobster roll with fries both were excellent choices! Thanks

Awesome Lobster rolls, good prices, and great poutine. They also have hamburgers, breakfasts, and other seafood snacks. The restaurant is located in a truck stop, there are many seats available inside.
