We ordered the chicken tandoori, which was a little salty in my opinion, but eating it with the onions balanced the flavor out really well. We also got the crispy potatoes, which were amazing. For our main dishes, we ordered garlic naan, butter chicken, and a side of white rice. The butter chicken was rich, flavorful, and super buttery. Surprisingly, my partner’s favorite dish was the white rice—he said it had so much flavor on its own.
We also tried two drinks: the mango lassi and a mint drink (I forgot the name), and we absolutely loved them. The mango lassi was especially delicious—honestly one of the best mango lassis we’ve ever had.
For dessert, we ordered the carrot pudding, which came with shredded carrots and vanilla ice cream on top. Everything we tried was so good and definitely did not disappoint.
The atmosphere was cozy and really nice, and the bar was huge with lots of wines and beautiful decorations. Since it’s Valentine’s season, they also has heart balloons floating around, which was super cute. At the end of the night, our server even gave us two balloons to take home.
The service was great overall—our server was friendly and checked in on us often. If you haven’t tried this place yet, you should definitely come check it out!
The lamb chops were tender and perfectly spiced, the Kashmiri kebab was packed with flavor, and the bone marrow pulao was rich and comforting. The butter chicken truly lives up to the hype, and the fresh naan and roomali roti were the perfect finishing touch.
The desserts were honestly the highlight, so unique and beautifully crafted. Their gulab jamun dessert was this perfect modern twist on a classic, warm and indulgent with just the right balance of sweetness. And the guava dessert was unbelievable: refreshing, fragrant, and layered with Indian flavors in a way that felt both nostalgic and completely new.
Amazing food, great vibe, and attentive service. Definitely a spot I’ll keep coming to.
I came here with my friends and from the moment you walk in, the vibe pulls you in with warm lighting, stylish interiors, and an energy that feels upscale yet welcoming. It’s the kind of place where every detail feels intentional(even with the plating of the menu items!).
To start off it is vegetarian friendly and has amazing variety. The soya chaap to the paneer to gol gappe and to their vegetable kebab – everything was packed with amazing flavor.
I really loved the Dal Makhani and Paneer Butter Masala which went really well with the Garlic Butter Naan! We ordered 2 orders of the paneer and one order of the Dal which was more than enough for my friends and I!
I am a big fan of green chutney and I have to say the one here was top notch – it complemented everything!!!
What truly takes Kebab Aur Sharab to the next level, though, is the service. The staff is attentive, knowledgeable, and genuinely passionate about the menu. They’re happy to make recommendations and make you feel taken care of without ever hovering.
Overall, Kebab Aur Sharab isn’t just a restaurant — it’s an experience. Incredible food, amazing drinks, great vibes, and top-tier service all in one place. If you’re in NYC and don’t check this spot out, you’re seriously missing out. Will definitely be coming back soon!
The chicken curry your mother could cook better. The biriyani was also very ordinary but good sized mutton pieces.
I’ve had much better food at Baar Baar, GupShup, Utsav. I would not come here the second time.
The real star of the show, however, was the food. The golgappa was absolutely amazing—easily some of the best I’ve ever had. We were so impressed by the flavor of the pani (the spiced water) that we actually had to call for extra puri just to finish it off!
Highly recommend this place for great food and quick service, even during peak hours.
One last bit that made me think of giving this a 4 star was the dessert – they said they couldn’t customise the kulfi faluda when asked if we could just get the kulfi!!
Lastly they need to overhaul the cocktails to be true to their name of Kebab aur Sharab – maybe a Monk Masala with Old Monk? Whisky Mamba Fashioned with some twist on a spice based old fashion?
Anyhoo other than the faluda annoyance was pretty good grub. And just for that worth it.
