The food was fresh (real mashed potatoes) and filling, cooked with soul. Catfish was cooked to order not sitting under heat lamp. (Tender with flavorful seasoned coating.) I had visiting strip mall to eat at different restaurant and thought let me try this place. The restaurant very neat with seated area for dine in. I got food to go and was served ample amount of food, (no skimping on proportions) packaged to prevent spillage. The deserts were fresh and reasonable. I got the Carmel cake. It was fresh an icing made with real butter. The real McCoy, ok, no boxed mix. Female serving food was cordial and you don’t have to wait long to be served. Good food.

If you want fresh veggies/sides that is not overpowering with salt/seasoning, this is the place. Also, food cooked to order if you don’t see it in the line. Pleasant staff and service. My mother really likes it, she has to watch what she eats. Very generous portion size and you may even get more when it’s to go.

This place reminds me of Molly’s in Provo, UT, wonderful food, wonderful atmosphere, VERY welcoming staff. The lady there was quite nice. Sometimes with that whole homestyle, “greasy spoon” restaurants it’s hit and miss with quality, but this place is definitely somewhere we’ll be coming back to! Delicious fish, rice, hamburger steak, mash potatoes and cornbread!

Nice new meat and 3 in Madison. The quarter fried chicken breast was nice and crispy on the outside and moist and tender on the inside. The country fried steak had a nice flavor with a nice crunchy coating. The turnip greens were cooked just right with nice flavor. The green beans were good, but they had a hot aftertaste that was not expected. The potato salad was a little sweet as was the cornbread, but the white beans were excellent! All in all it was a nice treat and we are looking forward to going back soon.

First off I wanna say that the menu is a great variety of things to choose from. When I got my chicken and dressing, which is fie, with sweet potatoe patties and turnip greens and got handed to me I almost needed two hands to hold it. Very hefty !!! I ate half the plate and saved the other half for after the nap imma go take. Desserts are good as well. Kool-aid is amazing!!! Had to get a refill to take . Overall great experience

Ordered Salisbury steak in gravy, dressing, cabbage and white beans. I would have expected 2 patties. The dressing may be made from Jiffy bread, but was ok. Server (female) should serve line before getting delivery orders ready, for those that are in front of you should be first priority ( my opinion). Side note the patty did not taste like home made, more like a frozen patty from the store. After further investigation I found out that the original H&T was sold, so food taste and service may have changed from the original location
