We stopped here to try a new to us restaurant. I’m so glad we did. I got the Build your own pasta dinner. I got the Capella pasta with meat sauce, Rachel got the penne pasta with neat sauce both came with choice of salad or soup, choice of sauce, extra topping, small or large portion and Italian bread. Patrick got the smash Cheeseburger with fries.
There were a wide variety of appetizers, salads, sandwiches, pizza, entrees and desserts. Large portions for prices.
I definitely plan on going here again to try more of their delicious food.
Only drawback is limited parking spaces, although you can always pafk on street.

Dinner was delicious! Hubby had the hot sausage dinner, he loved it. I tried one of their Gondolas, it was HUGE, I ate about 1/4, it was very good too. Can’t wait to eat the leftovers tomorrow!

I loved the zucchini an the sause really really goes amazingly well with the fried zucchini. The fish sandwich was really tasty the bun excellent..( I’m noted for my coleslaw ) your coleslaw ( I added a bit of sugar) its good but needed a little bit of sweetness other then that . this was truly the best fish dinner I’ve had in a long time …we will be back great service for as packed as the restaurant was ..( be proud of your staff..ty for a great dinning experience.. 5 stars

Quite a nice meal here from a hidden gem in East McKeesport. It is a pretty unassuming place, laid back family food. Fish, meat, and classic Italian-American dishes are served here. I got to try their lasagna, which came with a meatball, bread, and wedding soup.
I quite enjoyed this meal. Prices were OK and the portion was satisfying. The lasagna had quite a lot of ricotta and it was reasonably flavorful, but I would have liked a bit more of a flavor from the sauce.
The meatball was quite large. Not too flavorful and a bit of a tough texture (almost sausage like), but still good. Bread was very basic but free so can’t complain. The wedding soup was quite good. Small cup but flavorful broth and quite a good amount of cheese (I think?) in there.
All in all, I enjoyed my meal here. Good little Italian spot in East McKeesport and probably one of the better restaurants in this area.

We couldn’t rave about this place more! Everything from the family-like atmosphere(not bombarded yet intimate), excellent service, delicious food, and out of this world desert was worth mentioning. It was our first time here and our server made everything easy. We chose yayas lasagna and it lives up to the hype it recieves. The cheesecake was also a game changer! Try for yourselves, won’t be disappointed

Best fried fish we’ve had!! Excellent fish with a great breading that was perfectly fried and not greasy or too thick. All the work put into the preparation and presentation is obvious….kudos to a job well done!

Rene’s is a great local restaurant. I particularly enjoyed the absolutely enormous fish sandwich. If you are a fan of fried fish this is definitely for you. I found the pizza to be just okay. Only major downside to this place is a serious lack of parking.

I love this place! All the food is so tasty..they have really good tarter sauce. It has dill pickles and dill in the sauce..yum! Nice Tuesday night all you can eat pasta and meatballs $8.99. So good..plus salad and bread. Saturday 2 for $20.00. Service can be hit or miss, either I get the best server or not so much.! But great food!

The waitress was excellent went out of her way to make sure our meal was perfect. And the food was very good the zucchini parm was the best my wife and I had also with the meal was sausage that was very good. the next time I’m up from Florida I plan on making this a stop. Keep up the good work….
