The food was actually quite good and I enjoyed my meal, but the overall experience was just “okay” due to the service. We chose to sit outside, which ended up being a mistake. It felt like we were completely forgotten about once we were seated—long waits for refills and checking in. If you decide to eat here, I’d highly recommend sitting inside if you want attentive service.

I’m VERY picky when it comes to sushi but this place didn’t disappoint! I’m from Europe and I tend to get disappointed quite often with food in the US. This place had the best Philadelphia roll I’ve ever had in this country. Best salmon, hands down!
Happy hour prices were great, place was clean, food delicious, service on point (Stephen Jinx was our server) and Frank (the owner) came by to say hi and check on us. Such a great experience! 10/10
p.s. If you have kids, there’s a nice playground outside just around the corner.

We had such a great experience at Sekushi at The Plaza! First off, parking was a breeze—plenty of space and super convenient, which already made a good impression. The restaurant itself has a vibrant, upscale vibe without feeling too formal—perfect for date nights or dinners with friends.
We’re still in the early stages of trying the menu, but everything we’ve had so far has been incredible. The sushi is fresh, well-prepared, and beautifully presented. The drinks are also worth highlighting—balanced, creative, and strong in the best way.
Staff was attentive, and service was smooth all throughout. Excited to come back and explore more of the menu. Highly recommend if you’re looking for quality Japanese food in a great setting! ✨

The food is great and we truly enjoy the happy hour although we sometimes can’t get there early enough. Cameron, our bartender is fantastic. He’s friendly and makes a great cocktail! We recommend the restaurant to others and no one has come back to say they were disappointed.

First time visiting this place. Parking was ample. Great location. More importantly the sushi was AMAZING. It was so good I forgot to take a before picture. I got the Mexican roll and the pork gyoza. The sushi was incredibly fresh. I’m always afraid to try a new sushi place but this one did not disappoint. They also have a happy hour sushi menu. Definitely check them out !

We walk in all 6 of us. First the waiter sat us at a tiny table. We saw if it would work, it did not unsurprisingly. Just letting you know we were the only person inside of the restaurant.
Next the waiter moved us to a tinier table and told us if we wanted a bigger table we would have to wait 10 minutes? Thats awhile to clean new table.
We finally get seated and we get our menus. But, the menus were absolutely disgusting. They didn’t even wash them. There was grease, soy sauce and even some type of vegetable.
Also after she washed the tables there was so much water it was pouring off the side of the table.
We order and my dad, he orders a beer and there is barely any drink and more foam then drink. My dad worked in food service and one of the things he had to learn was to fill it up to the brim. It’s like a soda. You let the bubbles go away and keep pouring until the top! Also the lemonade tasted like crap.
We get our food and they mess up our order. We are still the only one in the restaurant. It’s not that hard to pay attention. I order a ramen and it comes the spicy version. I didn’t realize also so by the time i ate about half, my stomach was not doing well.
At least I got mine back eventually. The bill wasn’t too bad and at least they took off both of the ramens.
Not going back, everyone did not like.

Loved our first happy hour at Sekushi! We tried about eight different things on the menu – all delicious and such a great bar selection. Frank, the owner, is super friendly, welcoming and genuinely thanked us for supporting his restaurant. He’s all over the dining room – running drinks, talking to guests – really adds to the fun ambiance and positive vibe at this cute gem of a sushi place. We definitely will return again soon.
