The timing of our visit couldn’t have been better, no long lines and plenty of seating. My kids and niece had a great time on the swings while we waited for our food, which came out quickly. The prickly pear margarita was absolutely amazing! The atmosphere was relaxed and perfect after a day at the beach. The burger was flavorful, and the fries were crispy and just right. The kids enjoyed their corn dog and chicken tenders too.

That had to be the worst fish and chips I have ever had…greasy, soggy and those fries weren’t much better. Just awful. The atmosphere of being on the corner was nice but the whole experience is very overrated!! We decided to go because it was across the street from the hotel but don’t recommend at all.

5 of us on vacation and we stopped in for supper. Ordered pretzel for a starter and then the 5 of us ordered, shrimp tacos with corn tortillas (good if you have gluten sensitivity), 2 of the Nashville hot chicken sammies, patty melt and club sandwich. Everything was good. The atmosphere is awesome, stop in for a swing with a beer. Would recommend if you find yourself in port aransas.

This place was recommended for their famous margaritas and pet friendly atmosphere. We went to check it out and it did not disappoint! We sat at the outside bar where pets are welcomed. Needless to say, this place is officially pet-friendly and sticker-approved!

You can’t beat sitting outdoors watching Port A life go by on Avenue G. We had a few happy hour beers 2/13/2026 and decided to eat dinner. The American burger was good with American cheese, lettuce, tomato, and their sauce (ketchup & mayo). The 4 piece chicken dinner with fries and 2 biscuits was very good – really crispy fried chicken. Only complaint: the tables and chairs need a good scrubbing. We will return.

The service was okay when we arrived, but there was a long line and a noticeable wait. To be fair, they seemed very short-staffed, but no one gave a heads-up about the extended delays. We ordered a few appetizers and entrées for the table, but it took over an hour just to get chips and salsa. Our main dishes didn’t arrive until about an hour and a half after ordering, and by then, we were honestly just ready to leave.
That said, the overall vibes were really nice. Their outdoor patio is set up beautifully and seems like a great spot to hang out and unwind—we probably just came on a much busier day than usual.
It didn’t seem to be the staff’s fault—they were working non-stop the entire time. Still, it was a frustrating experience, especially since there aren’t many late-night options in Port A. The food itself was pretty average, but we chose to support a local spot instead of going with fast food like Whataburger or Domino’s.

We’ve been here a few times and have always had a great experience. Pretzel and cheese and white queso are great. Ordered the BierHaus burger and it was huge and delicious. Waited around 15-20m and we were mostly the only customers at the time so I can see how it could get to be a very long wait on a really busy night. The kitchen is small. We have no complaints though!

After a hot day on the beach Bier Haus was the pick for dinner. So thankful we chose to eat here. We were pleased with the yummy food and bar drinks. The Burgers and Fries, Nashville Hot Chicken Sandwich and Monte Cristo were all enjoyed and recommended. Come hungry leave happy!
