I come to this location a lot because it’s a good midway point for a drive I make often. The employees are very nice and I’ve never had a bad drink here. Every time they’re not sure about the specifics of something they ask me while they’re preparing it. I don’t like to get iced drinks with whipped cream and some of the special lattes have little toppings and they always make sure I do or do not want those omitted as well before they add it. Very considerate.

First off there was no soap in the women’s bathroom and was hardly any water pressure and no paper towels. When I bought a few drinks the peppermint mocha was missing 1/4 of its content and not in a Christmas cup whereas my oat milk late was. I was thoroughly disappointed with this experience.

This is the best Starbucks!! I’ve been going here consistently for a couple of months now, and they seem to always remember my overly complicated order and make it perfect every time! Staff is always friendly and the quality of the food is the best you could get at a Starbucks. You couldn’t ask for a better experience at a coffee shop than this Starbucks in Shelbyville.

Bought a 12 oz coffee. Bring it home. Place contents in a measuring glass. It’s 10 oz. If people pay for 12 oz. Give them 12 ozs. It’s already expensive. But stealing from me on top of that. Doesn’t want me to return.

So I went to pay with a card in the drive thru and rather than take it, the cashier leaned out the window at the waist, holding the card machine out, pulling the cable, and asked me to respond to the tip prompt, put my card in the machine in her hand, and wait for it to go through. All before giving me my drink. Unbelievably awkward, pushy, and aggressive. It felt like a hostage situation. And the whole interaction was basically like “You ARE going to tip RIGHT? Cause I still have your drink where you can’t see it. Just sayin.” I won’t be back.

So I went to use an offer that was emailed to me, and I’m sure numerous other Starbuck customers. That was only valid today 9/1 – 9/2.. The offer was $3. Any drink. My order daily is usually $8.45. The offer DID NOT HAVE A BAR CODE in the APP but, in fact, gave a coupon code that was to be entered by barista at the cash register during checlout. I ordered my drink, and when I approached the drive-thru window at check out i advised the cashieri was using the $3 offer, the barista wasn’t familiar with the offer. I then proceeded to explain what I was reading on the phone and was told by her and what I assumed was a manager that their system was down and they couldn’t use or scan or honor any APP offers!!! I then proceeded to explain there wasn’t anything to scan that it was a 4 dugitvcode that merely needed to be applied 4292 to be exact. So the manager then says well I can adjust the price. The price went from the 8.45 cents to $4.92, but the offer was 3 dollars. Any drink ( no size specifications) un reluctantly, I paid to further avoid any other issues because I’m already irritated at this point. However, corporate needs to better train employees on how to handle promotions and offers that are offered. As a frequent customers, these are the perks and deals we live for considering the very expensive and high price items on the menu!! And my drink wasn’t correct after all of that. Now I usually tip a little higher to offset the discount when there is a huge discount like the $3 dollar. 3 dollar tip ans it’s still saving me 2.45 cents. But I did not tip because they definitely made my experience stressful, to say the least. Shame on you, STARBUCKS GET IT TOGETHER. What is the point on getting me excited to use an offer if you have locations NOT honoring the offer. Anyone who has the APP can clearly see the offer I’m referring too.

One of the friendliest, well kept, most modern Starbucks locations I’ve been to, short of the Reserve roasterie in Chicago! Every restaurant startup may have its challenges but the staff has been so kind and resilient these first few weeks of being open. Don’t miss your chance to hear “welcome in!”
