My BF and I went in on a Wednesday at 1pm. They close from 2 to 4:30 so beware of the hours. The server has been there for 11 years – he started as a dishwasher – and he was a one-man-show holding it down with no problems. They have a full bar, so that’s a plus. He made our drinks and did them well – I got the dirty martini with blue cheese stuffed olives. It literally came out perfectly and I am very picky with my dirty martinis. The server knows the menu bc he’s worked every position including the kitchen, so he was well-versed, which is useful because I have way too many allergies. I’ve gone there before at lunch and I always wonder if dinner is better. I’ve gone with friends for family style dinner so it’s hard to know specifics. Portions were amazing. We ordered arugula salad with beets, goat cheese, and pistachios with balsamic vinaigrette as well as the crispy chicken Caesar. The chicken breast on the Caesar was awesome and plentiful. The beets and goat cheese were also plentiful. Flavors for both salads were on point. We ordered the short rib ravioli special with a vodka sauce as well as the pappardelle with sausage and mushrooms. Those portions were also great. Sadly, the pasta was not my favorite. There was a strange sweetness to the short rib ravioli which I’m guessing comes naturally from the short rib braising, it just wasn’t my favorite. The sausage that came with the pappardelle was also just okay. It seemed like store bought rather than fresh ground and taken out of the casings. Also the parsley on the pappardelle dish was too coarsely chopped and overwhelmed the sauce unless you let it soak in for a bit which I did and it ended up tasting better. I will say, both pastas were handmade and I could tell. They had the perfect texture and that alone was worth it for me. Plus, I have strange flavor profile issues so it could have been my own issue although my boyfriend also agreed with the flavors. On the pappardelle dish, I wish they had sauteed the mushrooms a little longer so they caramelized. But again the sauce on that one was really good and don’t get me wrong I will definitely be eating the leftovers. We also ended up ordering creme brulee and the cannoli. Unfortunately, the creme brulee was grainy as if it had split and had an eggy flavor which is not what I expect from a creme brulee, however I love flan so it didn’t bother me. It did not come with fruit which I always prefer so I would ask them to add that if possible in the future. I will say the cannoli was absolutely the best I’ve ever had. I love that one side was crusted with chocolate chips while the other was crusted with pistachio. The filling was creamy and I could taste the orange zest. The cannoli shell was so light and crispy, not like some others I’ve had that are thick and greasy. The desserts were $10 each and I would order that cannoli as a to To-Go order over and over again. The pasta dishes are the only reason I did not give five stars. However, overall we had an amazing experience and would consider it a successful lunch date.

I went there for my birthday! We were served by Alfonso, the Chef & Owner. He is a very likable person and he even joined us for a while and shared the origin story of the restaurant. Everyone that we spoke with shared that it was just who he is as a person. What a delightful human being! We shared a Cesar Salad because they give a decent sized portion. The lettuce was locally grown and it tasted delicious!!!
I ordered Fettucine Alfredo (not on the menu BUT always available) with spinach, sundried tomatoes, and garlic…which was delicious. My friend ordered the seasonal pumpkin ravioli. The texture of the pumpkin was smooth, flavorful, and well-seasoned. Please do your self and bring your friends with you when you visit?

We hosted a wedding rehearsal dinner at Uliveto. Alfonso and Jennifer were so easy to work with during the planning. We provided the decorations and they set everything up for us. Our guests raved about the food and the atmosphere. Stephanie, our waitress in charge that night, was professional and she made sure everything went smoothly. We were able to bring in our own desserts at no extra charge. We highly recommend Uliveto for a large party or just a dinner for two. The food, service and atmosphere make this place a family favorite.

The atmosphere and the food is phenomenal! It has become my regular go to spot!
If they ever have a filet or semi glazed duck special, get it! You will not be disappointed!
If those are not specials/options then I would say to go for any kind of ravioli! You can’t go wrong with this place!
Also shout-out to Sarah and Alfonso!

The corned beef & cabbage was one of the best I’ve ever had and the shepherds pie was great also. The service was very good and Jennifer even remembered that Conundrum Red was my favorite! Well be back for sure.

A very popular place in a smaller town called Orcutt. Very traditional Italian food. It is a bit pricey but the food was unique and homemade. I had the pumpkin ricotta ravioli in a sage cream sauce. It was very obvious that the ravioli was homemade and the cream sauce was delicious. It needed salt which is something I rarely say. On a Tuesday night, however, it was relatively crowded and out of all of the places in town it was the only one that had cars throughout the parking lot. They also have delicious desserts and an decent wine list.

We absolutely cherish our family visits to this wonderful local restaurant, which has become a frequent dining spot for us. It’s not just the exceptional food that draws us back, but the genuine warmth and hospitality shown by the staff and the owner, Alfonso. He always makes an effort to step out from the kitchen to greet guests personally, ensuring everyone feels welcome and cared for.
What truly sets this place apart for our family is the special attention Alfonso pays to our son. He has forged a remarkable connection with him, often inviting him to the kitchen to try his hand at making pizzas. These experiences have made the restaurant a memorable spot for our son, and it’s his absolute favorite!
The ambiance is cozy, the menu is delicious, and the staff’s friendliness makes every visit delightful. As realtors, we frequently recommend this restaurant to new homeowners in the area because it embodies the community spirit we love. Whether you’re a local or just passing through, do yourself a favor and stop by—you won’t be disappointed!
