I had the best solo lunch date here today.

Stepping inside, the beautiful island interior instantly transported me—such a lovely escape without the high cost of a plane ticket. The service was equally wonderful. A huge shoutout to Jocelyn and Dion who were incredibly sweet and attentive; they truly made my whole visit feel warm and welcoming.

If you go, you absolutely have to try the classic combo: the perfectly crispy and flavorful katsu and the legendary, creamy mac salad. Wash it all down with the iconic POG (Passion Orange Guava) juice for the ultimate Hawaiian plate lunch experience.

Definitely a must eat spot to enjoy with friends and family.

I ordered food thru Mo’ Bettahs website for delivery from Frisco location. When I received my order of 3 regular 2 choice plates and 1 mini plate, I found 2 of my regular plates was poorly made. 1st plate has 5 small pieces of chicken katsu and small serving of kalua pig, 2nd plate has very small amount of Teri steak (extra $1.99) and again 5 small pieces of chicken katsu. I making this complaint due to very little meat (equivalent to a kids size meal elsewhere), very messy presentation. I attempted to call the location but no one picked up the phone so here I am leaving a negative review. I am very unsatisfied with my order and would like this promptly handled.

While the food is decent, the ability to get orders correct is lacking!
I’ve been to this location twice now (ordered pickup) and each time they’ve gotten something wrong. My first order had under cooked chicken but I decided to try again. I received a coupon to make up for the first order but it didn’t work. And this time after I paid extra for steak, I got chicken. I ordered the Ekolu plate with 3 choices of protein. I paid extra for steak as my first two choices and Katsu chicken for the third. Instead I received double chicken and the tiniest bit of steak. Again, while the food and portions are good, they can’t get orders right. I also didn’t get my spicy mayo sauces. Overall, don’t think I’ll be going back to this location or possibly any other location. Very annoyed.

Hawaiian food is scarce here in the DFW so whenever there’s one in my neck of the neighborhood I try them out.

The place was clean, music playing from my childhood, and a good variety of food to order from. The simplicity of the menu is a plus. Nothing overcomplicated and everything was decently priced.

The food itself was a little underwhelming. Chicken was chewy, Kalua pork was nowhere near authentic, and the Teri beef dry and just okay. Mac salad was decent and the rice was cooked right. Outside of that it was just okay and nothing authentic or to rave home about.

1st time eating at this restaurant. The food is freshly made behind the counter. Very tasty and flavorful. Had the steak with macaroni salad and rice.

Love that they have different serving portions. They also have sauces and they aren’t that spicy.

Give with a try. You won’t regret it.

This place has massive portion sizes and is absolutely delicious. Their macaroni salad is so flavorful and their teriyaki steak/chicken is super juicy. We will definitely be back!!

Absolutely worth all five stars! I got the katsu chicken and teriyaki steak, and both were incredible. The katsu was perfectly crispy and flavorful, and the teriyaki steak was tender with the perfect amount of sweetness.

Yes, the wait was a bit longer than expected, but honestly the food made it completely worth it. Everything came out hot, fresh, and full of flavor.

If you’re craving island-style comfort food done right, Mo’ Bettahs is definitely the spot. Highly recommend!

**Mo’ Bettahs Hawaiian Food Review**

I recently dined at Mo’ Bettahs Hawaiian Food in Frisco for the second time, and it continues to impress! Conveniently located next to a gym, it’s a great spot for a post-workout meal. This time, I ordered the teriyaki steak and pulehu chicken, paired with their creamy macaroni. The food was absolutely delicious—fresh and bursting with flavor, truly capturing the essence of a Hawaiian feast.

During my first visit, I had the pork, which tasted like it was pulled right from someone’s grandma’s crockpot—comforting and full of home-cooked goodness.

The ambiance of the restaurant is inviting, featuring cool, breezy decor with beautiful Hawaiian photographs and striking light fixtures that create a warm atmosphere. Surfboards on the walls enhance the tropical feel, making you feel as if you’ve been transported to the islands.

Whether you’re after fresh, authentic Hawaiian flavors or just a great dining experience, I highly recommend Mo’ Bettahs!

I almost never leave reviews but I had to say something in the hopes that things change.

Customer service here is TRASH!!!! The people working at the front acted like they hated their job and any customers that came in. We were the only ones in line when we came in. Initially this young black woman was standing at the front and acted like she couldn’t speak or smile. Then a young black man came up from the back looking even more hateful and after grudgingly taking orders literally started throwing chicken on the grill. I’ve never seen anything like it. Then when the first woman was making our meals and went to add the teriyaki sauce ALL 3 bottles were nearly empty and when we asked for more sauce she just stared at us with no response. I’m thinking to myself, why didn’t you fill those up before customers started coming in?

Then 2 more people came from the back to help since more people came in, one young Indian woman and one white woman. The Indian woman was just as rude and stingy with the sauce! Like it’s bad enough we even have to ask for the packaged sauce which doesn’t taste as good, but we had to ask multiple times for the orange sauce that comes with the katsu chicken. Like what do you expect us to do just eat the chicken dry?!!! The only person who acted like a normal human was the white woman. And before you try to come for me in the comments section, I’m a black woman and the only reason I am describing these people is so the owner of the restaurant sees this review and knows who to talk to later.

If I owned this restaurant I would be PISSED at how these people treated my customers. Rent is too high and the cost of operating a business demands you provide a top notch experience so your customers stay loyal and you earn enough to keep the doors open.

I promise you I wouldn’t go back to this location. Just make the drive over to Custer in Mckinney and get your Hawaiian from their restaurant. The customer service over there is ALWAYS great!

I will say the review is only for the customer service, my family said the food is still good, just DRY and needed more sauce.
