The food was, unfortunately, mediocre during this visit. I drove all the way from Alabama hoping to enjoy the vibrant flavors of Jamaica, but this experience did not match the quality of my previous visits. It’s also my responsibility for not checking my order before leaving, as one of the sides I paid for was missing and the food is certainly not inexpensive. While the service was excellent, the food itself did not meet expectations, which was disappointing.

Came in today 3/3 They were moving pretty slow. The lady stopped fixing my plate to answer the phone twice. She touched the phone with her gloves and didn’t change them. She also picked trash and a knife off the floor(after she served me) and didn’t change her gloves.
The brown stew chicken was dry and lacking flavor. The yams were not sweet enough and the cabbage was super crunchy. The curry chicken patty was fresh and flaky really good . I eat this chain all over metro Atlanta and this was the worse i ever had. I spent $32.

Awesome portion sizes! You can sample in the restaurant before you make your decision. Antoinette was very helpful. Will definitely go back for the bourbon chicken.

I went in for oxtails yesterday paid $41 and some change. Now they normally be ight. But I went an I wanted white rice thy was sold out I started to walk out but I said hey I’ll take they rice and peas pick the peas out an it’s fine. Get home Mac and cheese was a brick only gave me two piece literally 2 piece of yams and then I get to the main thing. Oh. No ma’am. It was just food. No season no nothing I said I’ll just add some salt and pepper it will be fine. Oh no no I wasn’t. Not for what I paid. Then I got so mad I said I’ll try again in the morning went to warm it up it got hot a then it smelled spoiled. I was over it…. The for the little lady in the front with the gap to have a bad attitude and be rushing people is insane but to each its own. 3/10

Let me say… not only is the food good, it’s so good I ended up at Golden Krust – Senioa Rd.TWO DAYS in a row. Yes, you read that correctly. I had to run the exact same order back a second time it was so good.
Now… for the story…
I had been wanting a roti and didn’t feel like driving to Stone Mountain. Coming from Boston, I tend to have a craving periodically. As such, I hopped on Yelp and searched for “Roti” and found out that Golden Krust – Senioa Rd. had them. Once I saw that it was a go for me. I decided to place my order via DoorDash and head on over. Scrolling down the menu I decided to take it back to all the things I love and get a Spicy Beef Patty, Coco Bread, Brown Stew Chicken Roti, and a Small Rice & Peas. All I could think of was the Caribbean flavors combining in my mouth the entire ride to Golden Krust – Senioa Rd lol.
Once on site, Golden Krust – Senioa Rd. was very clean and the staff was very welcoming. I walked in, headed to the counter, provided them my name, confirmed my order, and stood to the side to wait for my order to be ready.
Once my order was ready I was on my way.
Let’s talk about food…
Beef Patty: Bombbbbbbbbb. Spicy but not too spicy. Flavorful. Fresh. Flaky. Meaty. And golden brown.
Coco Bread: Soft. Buttery. Flavorful. Thick. Not hard. Fresh.
Brown Stew Chicken: Juicy. Meaty. Flavorful. Authentic. Nice portion. Not too boney. Tender.
Roti: Flaky. Flavorful. Fresh. Chewy but not too chewy.
Rice and Peas: Perfectly tender. Bursting with authentic flavor. Perfect rice to bean ratio.
This food was amazing. Everything paired well together and was very filling. All of the food was made with care and truly carried authentic Caribbean flavor. Every single thing I ordered stood on its own and was amazing. So much, I went back the next day for round two. Yes. I will admit. My name is D. K. and I’m addicted to the food. LoL!!!
If you’re in the area stop in and get you some. It’s worth it. You’ll thank me later!

I’ve been going to this location for years. My only draw back is the sugar they add to the food. Why is the rice & peas, collards, stew chicken and even the oxtail sweet!!!??? I’ve had to limit my visits and just buy the soups now. Please just stick to the authentic tastes. Leave the sugar in the drinks and not in the food. Please and thank you!

Service:10/10. I was immediately greeted, the restaurant was clean and the food smelled great. I had a taste for a beef patty and did not order any other food. Get 2 stars for fast service.
Taste: 2/10. The crust was hard like almost stale and Where’s the beef?! See pics for details. The flavor of beef was good, but every bite I took, there was little to no filling inside the patty.
I have eaten at Golden Krust in New York, and the one over on Old National….never have I been handed an empty beef patty. I would not order it again. If it were properly filled I would be a repeat customer. Please don’t be so cheap with the beef!

Restaurant was clean, was greeted upon arrival. I got the small curry goat, spinach rice, cabbage, and plantain. Goat was tender but the curry wasn’t cooked down enough for my taste. The flavors were there! It was spicy which I love, the carrots and potatoes was a nice touch. The portion was generous which I didn’t expect, unfortunately the cabbage was basically raw. I like mines cooked down more but the flavor was good. The spinach rice was fresh and delicious. Plantains were cooked to perfection. What threw me off is that two sides of hot sauce was like $1.75 and it wasn’t even grace hot sauce, I know toast is set up to ask for a tip but baby that $1.75 for the hot sauce was the tip at that point . I’d give them another try for sure.

I had a very disappointing experience at the Golden Krust on February 5th. I ordered a large curry goat meal and when I got home the rice was undercooked and the curry goat was mostly bones and fat with barely any meat.
When I returned the next day as instructed to get my plate remade, the manager accused me of lying about being there until she checked the cameras and saw that I was. Even after proving my purchase with my debit card transaction, she still refused to remake my plate or offer a refund. The customer service was extremely unprofessional and disappointing.

Overall the brown stew chicken was immaculate as well as the beef patty! The cabbage had a great crunch, a little more salt would be nice but that Mac and cheese tasted like play dough, wouldn’t order the Mac again but everything else was delicious!
