Café Paris is a Hamburg institution that perfectly captures the soul of a traditional French brasserie.

Food is solid, with classics like steak frites and oysters on the menu. service is efficient despite the constant buzz. It charms visitors just as much, making it a reliable choice for everything from a business breakfast to a romantic dinner.
Best to avoid peak hours or have a reservation well in advance.

Disorganised,hectic tourist trap type restaurant.
Iw been in many Parisian cafes in many European metropolitan cities but this was by far the worst experience.
First of all we were turned away from the front door, but after I insisted, front door lady got 2 bar stools for us ,then shortly after had a table ready for us.
Ordered 6 oysters and tartar steak with 2 glasses of champagne.
Oysters came pretty quick ,but to get served with Tartar steak took another 45 minutes.
After we keept asking for food, front door lady gave us 2 glasses of champagne on the house because food was so late.Nice gesture but , overall experience wasnt so nice.I can imagine how much would we with if we ordered cooked food?!???
I wouldn’t recommend this restaurant.

Tasty food, but the atmosphere and the service overwhelm and outweigh the positive food experience. One waitress took our order, another waiter brought the forgotten desert, but only half of it because he forgot the other half. The third waiter brought the other half – the poor forgotten macaron. The fourth (!) waiter/host had to take our payment by the entrance because we couldn’t sit any longer and wait till someone remembers us.
You are not in Paris, and there are not 100 people coming in per minute, so a little less rush and more consideration from the staff would make the nice experience complete, coupled with a great interior of the place.

Worth a visit for the late-19th century Art Deco interior alone (the oval ceiling medallions especially. The breakfasts are excellent, from tartare cheval to avocado on toast topped with a poached egg Quite busy on weekends, but the preternaturally calm wait staff is friendly and accommodating. Highly recommended.

Lovely atmosphere, good service but I did not like the food… It did taste average but the plates did not look nice. I liked the tea options, would go for drinks next time.

After a long walk around Jungfernstieg, I stopped for coffee and dessert. The atmosphere was fantastic. I tried the apple pie (Apfeltarte) and found it very delicious. A must-see in Hamburg, guaranteed.

Guys – their menues are so freshly made … you might have seen the tuna swimming but truly spoken: their food is outstanding! Ok ok – sometimes service cant be around in a min due to this famous Great Spot: Then, please, bear with them! They are very good servicing you!!!

Very nice place. Inside the restaurant is very nicely decorated. We were there for the breakfast and you can find very nice french bakery and breakfast in the menu. We had croissant sandwiches and croque monsieur. All were very delicious. The menu was very nice for the evening and dinner too. It’s a very nice stop in the city

My partner and I dined at this restaurant before the Christmas season. The location is amazing: it has decoration inspired by the Art Nouveau style, which adds that touch to the dining experience.
The food is extremely tasty and the overall experience is satisfying: from the appetisers (carpaccio and escargot) to the main courses and the desserts, all paired with a nice French red wine.
I totally recommend this restaurant and I’d love to come back!

Nice place. Beautiful tiling from long past times. Good food, can recommend the Moroccan Breakfast. Prices very high, 6,40 € for a 0,2 orange juice is hefty.
