Toyama Cuisine is a hidden gem! Delicious, fresh food and some of the best service around — the staff truly goes above and beyond. The atmosphere could use a little more personality but the food and service more than make up for it. Highly recommend for anyone craving quality Japanese cuisine!

I’ve been ordering since Toyama opened and the food has always been great. Quality food at amazing value. Ever since I moved to the island it hasn’t been as easy to get good sushi (not really for me, my wife was the one that liked sushi lol.) In the past I’d just eat sushi with her if she was craving it but I didn’t enjoy it that much.
Well about three weeks ago I found out about this place and dude, it’s so fairly priced! I’m cheap as hell and when I saw how fairly priced this place’s party trays were it made me experiment with getting all kinds of different rolls. And guess what? I found that I actually do kinda like sushi (we’ve been getting a party tray every week since discovering it lol; takes 20 minutes to drive here and 20 minutes back.) I didn’t feel like spending time to write a review but holy heck, seeing the 1-star shillers made my blood boil. You can see how they were all written on the 25th; all with very a very unspecific negative comment. THIS PLACE DOES IN FACT HAVE PARKING!
Note to the brigadiers: if you want business, then make good food. It’s not the owner’s fault that everyone loves his sushi. If you’re scared of him taking your business away then step up and improve your food and customer service— this is capitalism baby and what YOU guys voted for.
TLDR: great sushi for a great price. Also as of this date all the 1-star reviews for this establishment are from some very obvious shills written on behalf of some competitor.

I have been buying from this owner for the past 13 years. I have followed him from his original place of business and take a Heights BROOKLYN to sunset BROOKLYN to Now Staten Island. His food is amazing. He puts a lot of effort into his roles and the prices are amazing. I definitely recommend this place to anyone who wants to eat really good sushi and fresh.
