We celebrated our 9 th wedding anniversary at Conrad by Hilton, and we choose codex for the dinner. I think that was the right choice. The staff was supper friendly our son had already slept so they made sure he was comfortable on the sofa. The staff is good in suggesting the food loved every single bite. The pacific rice, the catch of the day. Octopus with squid ink was just amazing. And the final dessert was just wow. Would like to thanks the kitchen team. All the flavours were so good best night we had. It’s little expensive but it’s worth

We had the chef tasting menu for the private dinner set up under the mangrove. There is a $100 set up fee which also included a private fire pit area on the beach. The experience felt very special and was worth the price. Every course was carefully executed. We met the chef who provided additional details on the meal. This is a romantic experience worth it if you are staying at Conrad hotel.

Dined here for an event – which went off without a hitch! The staff was incredibly attentive and all dishes turned out great! More secluded for the girls than other restaurant options on the property, but still great views of the beach.

Made a reservation online. It looked like from the reservation website, it was booked out after I booked, but when we got there, the place was basically empty save for maybe 3 other tables. They started with a complimentary snack with some beets on top of a chip. It was pretty good, given that it’s beets, and helped with the hunger a little bit since the actual dishes came out pretty slow considering how few people there were in the restaurant.
The outdoor seating, you are actually right on the sand.
We got the Sea Bass and Shrimp. The Shrimp was pretty good, but the serving size wasn’t big. It was basically three shrimps with a shrimp gordita. It’ll leave you not hungry, but probably not too full. The sea bass was even smaller, and the fish didn’t really taste like the sea bass we’d usually find in the market. Probably wouldn’t recommend this dish. Also got the spaghetti pasta, which again, was tiny, and had no flavor or taste to it. It’s like it was just cooked to done in water, placed on a small dish, and had some cheese put on it. At the end, they gave another complimentary dessert with a smoke bomb.
Overall, the place had a nice ambience, presentation was great, but the actual dining part of the dining experience was sorely lacking considering how much it cost.

Great experience, an absolute must when staying at the Conrad, we went info dinner and tried a variety of items on the menu. Love the different seating options, you can sit comfortably in the dining room with views of the ocean, or get a table right on the sand amoung the trees and simply linsten to the sound of the waves as you enjoy your fabulous meal. We enjoyed everything we ordered but the stand outs were the pork belly taco (trust me worth the money) the filet mignon (be aware it is a small portion so definitely pair it with some starters and sides) and the ricotta cheesecake (yum!)

The place is nice, by the beach although not with the ocean view. Unfortunately, the food is average, the catch of the day was tasteless, the dessert was nicely presented, then a bunch of sugar and cream. The highlight was the bread and banana chocolates at the end and professional service. Not enough to justify the prices, higher than those in the beautiful restaurants in e.g. Four Seasons hotel.

Beautiful restaurant and scenery with poor food flavor and quality at an extreme price. $89 usd short rib was small and dry, couldn’t eat it. After sending back they removed from the bill, good service at this resort. All of the food our table of 4 ordered lacked flavor and was overpriced (NY steak, Short Rib, Crab, Pork Belly Taco). I suspect the chef doesn’t eat there. Don’t waste your money on the food. If you are stuck at the resort just go here for drinks.

Marisol the restaurant manager and her staff made our dinner date a night to remember. My restaurateur husband was very impressed of the excellent service, from the friendly host, server and bartender, they really made us feel special especially Marisol was so awesome to spent extra time to chat with us and made really good recommendation what food to order as our first time in Codex. The food is so delicious and made from special quality fresh ingreduents, we had tuna tartar and mushrooms with green salad for appetizers so tasty and fresh! Seabass and wagyu steak were perfectly cooked. And the highlight was the chocolate/truffle cake with lemon grass, one of a kind dessert that you shouldn’t miss to order as you want to have more, I had tried unique cake flavor with lemongrass from other restaurants worldwide but this one is the best and sooo luscious!
Codex has very cozy and romantic ambiance with beautiful lighting, &decors and the view of the ocean with the sound of the waves made our dinner so appetizing and wonderful night to remember!
