Another great meal at 1498….. well and truly looked after by Lloyd and his team.
The food was once again lovely. I tried a new dish for me, the liver curry, the liver just melted in your mouth, spiced just right. My wife had the Chicken Cafreal, nice and spicy and plenty of chicken.
I also had a new starter, a vegetarian cigar. A peppery mix of stir fry vegetables wrapped and deep fried (Spring rolli-sh) with my better half going back to the melt in your mouth lamb chops Rounded of with an unmissable Gajar Ka Halwa (hot carrot cake). It made a trip into town very worthwhile. Thanks to all at 1498, keep up the good work and see ya soon

Having dined here several times, the experience has never disappointed. The atmosphere and service is great and the food is excellent and very authentic. The food is very fresh and I like how the chef can adapt many dishes to tastes/requirements.
We also hosted an event at the restaurant recently which went really well. The food was amazing and Loyd and the team did such a great job making sure everything went well. They were very professional and accommodating – with both the food and the venue.
Overall, a must to visit in Peterborough!

Really worth a visit. Food was really really good; authentic and delicious. Staff were so friendly but not intrusive and gave nice vibes. Good prices, great set menu option on a Wednesday or Sunday that includes almost everything on the main menu and gives good savings on price. Really lovely place, tucked away. Will definitely return. We checked in with four people to expect this would be the best place to have Indian food, but the experience turned out to be horrible.
The food was horrible, no taste, no seasoning. Even portion was less than expected. The service plate was broken. Observed the chef with an apron go to the toilet straight to the kitchen and came out wiping his hands on the same apron. Absolutely unacceptable. No hygiene.
I almost spent £60 and got such experience, even one of us spoke to the service guy and he did nothing about our service and food.

I think I’ve just had the best lamb Biryani I’ve ever had. It was so bloody good. Excellent flavour, perfect spice… Desi style is the only way to have it!

Despite server confirming for “desi” style food , taste was very dull. Mix veg had 50% carrot giant pieces , attached a photo of the same. Indo Chinese items are neither Indian nor Chinese style.

An unexpected find… a Sunday night star! Brilliant choice. A Wednesday and Sunday discount meal and wonderful service. Nearly didn’t go as the lowest spice rating is ‘medium’ and I was worried it’d be too spicy but there was no need to worry. ‘Medium’ was seasoned, flavoursome, slightly spicy but not too much! Food tasted amazing and the portion sizes were great. We were on our way to Camridgeshire from Scotland, but we will be making sure we pass this way again. Highly recommend.
