I came to Kona Grill for the first time after seeing so many good reviews. The Wagyu fried rice was honestly one of the best fried rice dishes I’ve ever had. The chicken skewers were also good, and the pasta was surprisingly delicious.
At first, I was a bit shocked by the prices, but the food definitely feels worth it. The staff didn’t seem particularly friendly, but there was nothing negative about the service either.
The interior feels a little dated, but I can imagine the atmosphere being really nice at night.

Came to Kona Grill on a snowy Sunday night for dinner with my sister. It was relatively quiet because most people I’m assuming decided to stay cozy inside. We started off with having the spicy shrimp tempura and that was not a hit. We did not enjoy it. Something about the taste threw us off. Then we got the crab crunch rolls which was okay but I’ve honestly had better sushi at Shop Rite. Then for my meal I wanted something light so I got the Asian Salad. The Asian Salad wasn’t too bad but overall the food did not taste fresh to me. The restaurant just did not give cleanliness in terms of the smell so I think that contributed to me not enjoying my food as much. It had this old smell to it and then I went to use the women’s bathroom and the floor was super sticky. Like it looked clean but when I was walking my shoes were sticking to the bathroom floor. Our booth was nice and roomy but the sits had some tears in it. Overall I will say that the restaurant looks decent but there are things that contributed to the unattractiveness for me personally. I guess if the food was fire the other stuff wouldn’t have bothered me as much. You definitely tend to notice more things when the food isn’t too good. As for the service, the service was AWESOME our waitress was super nice and friendly. So I will say the service was great.

Upon arrival, no one was present at welcoming booth. I’m assuming who showed up eventually was the manager, he welcomed us and got us the menu. He offered the menu to who I’m guessing is the hostess ( she didn’t seem happy) and she guided us to the seat where we waited for approximately 6-8 minutes before our server got to us. We gave our order and the food came out in a timely manner. Food was okay, but nothing to run home and brag about. Price for everything didn’t match the portion and quality of the food. My sea bass was greasy and tasted bland. I’m kinda disappointed.Only thing I was okay with was the appetisers. And even then, I have had better for cheaper. Maybe they having an off day on Valentine’s Day, which shouldn’t be an issue because the restaurant was empty.

I was referred by a friend after a late show nearby due to their late Happy Hour. Very nice atmosphere. Nice for a date night or friends out. I went with friends and I believe for 4 people each getting about three things plus drinks from the Happy Hour. 9-closing we spent under $150. It took a decent time to get the food but we did order a lot in all fairness. The server was great.

While our server was sweet, omg I would never have ordered after what we experienced. Our silverware was DISGUSTING. I showed our server and even she was grossed out. The knives and forks had food particles in it wrapped in napkins!!!! I went to the bathroom and all stalls were so nasty. There was a USED TAMPON with blood in the stall. This while waiting for our food. Can you imagine how I felt trying to eat my meal? I couldn’t do it. I ordered the pad Thai and begged to not have it spicy and if it was, please let me know and I’d order something else. Our server was told by the manager that my dish was not spicy. It was super spicy. I couldn’t eat it. My daughter’s sushi has brown edges I don’t even know what to do! I’m literally driving home and leaving this review. I want to go home and take a shower after this experience. $200 for 4 people (2 of which were children) and I paid it just to get the hell out of there.

Chicken was too thin inside the chicken sandwich. Picasso sushi roll was too salty with the sauce under. They didn’t even provide me with Wasabi, or separate soy sauce.
While we were waiting for the carrot cake dessert, suddenly one of the employees came and asked us to leave if our dog was not a service dog. They should have said no from the beginning. We didn’t hide when we were entering with carrying our crate. Our dog was quite all the time and well mannered. She must learn how to be polite to customers. Especially when it is January 1st.

This Kona Grill is clean and convenient for a quick lunch. They had lunch and happy hour specials. Unfortunately, my waiter did not mention them to me. I had to ask him for the menu. With that said, if you plan to visit them ask for the specials menu in advance because there are cut off times.

First I will like to say don’t judge a place till you try it on your own: I placed an online order an hour ago for mac and cheese. I called to ask for extra breadcrumbs- the worker was very nice, and even though I understand the request might’ve been annoying, she said yes instead of declining, which I appreciated. However, when my food arrived, I received two platters of mac and cheese with ZERO breadcrumbs. On top of that, it looked and tasted like it had been dunked in water before being sent out. There was no flavor at all — ironically, not even any cheese (not sure what they put in it- looks like thick water mixed with powdered cheese). I had multiple friends try it, thinking maybe I was being overly picky, but everyone agreed: it was terrible.
Maybe if you dine in, they put more care into the meal you’re paying for, but based on this experience, I strongly recommend not ordering online from this restaurant. Semi-great phone service tho!

The food was sooooo flavorful and delicious. The drinks were amazing. Our server Iggy was incredible. He was the cherry on top of our dinning experience. The ambience and vibe of Kona Gill was very cool. Omg the drinks… they were quite delightful as well. 10/10 Everything was great. We will be back for sure

Food was on point. Loved the fried pickles, shrimp tacos ($3 for one during happy hour!!), and my fiance enjoyed his burger! The butter cake was also bomb, save some room for dessert in your belly! Server was nice and attentive. Enjoyed sitting in front of the fish tank Restaurant seemed to be on the little pricier side but there are reasonable food prices for certain foods (look at the lighter fare section).
