Designed by renowned architectural firm Douglas Fredrikson Architects, Lou’s dining room gives off a cool-clean, stone-and-steel feel in a wide-open space made even more airy when the massive garage-style and wall-sized sliding doors are opened to a rich green lawn and golf course, towering trees and the city below. And the rectangular bar features outdoor seating on two sides when the windows are drawn up, offering spectacular views of the setting sun gleaming off Papago Buttes.

Great place to bring your family and enjoy the views. The kids can run around the grassy area while the parents enjoy delicious drinks. The food was good with large portions.
Our service was good, but our waitress didnt write the order down which actually meant some forgotten items or wrong orders. I can see how someone wanted to chalked their memory but might not be a good idea considering it was a busy Valentine’s Day at the restaurant.

Stopped by for brunch and grabbed a seat on the patio—what a view! Sipping on Bloody Marys while enjoying pancakes, bacon, and eggs, I soaked in the clear Arizona sky and the stunning backdrop of the Papago Mountains. The staff was friendly and welcoming, making the whole experience even more enjoyable. The food was satisfying and well-prepared—nothing overly fancy, but solid, classic brunch favorites done right. It’s a dependable menu with comforting flavors that hit the mark every time. Perfect for a relaxing morning or casual weekend brunch. The combination of the scenic patio, approachable menu, and attentive service makes this a spot worth checking out. Came here on a Monday afternoon for lunch with a bunch of mom friends and our kiddos. We had spent the morning at the zoo so this was a convenient, close place to grab food. A couple of the friends I was with come here quite a bit because they can sit outside with the kids, who can run around the nice big grassy area. Anywhere with a space the kids can be loose and free is a HUGE BONUS! I called ahead and made a reservation since there was 11 of us total. They set us up at one of their fire pit areas, that were all fully in the sun. They had umbrellas around but we had to move them, and set them up ourselves. I guess they didn’t mind that we moved the umbrellas but they also didn’t help us. Service was slow and food was not very good. It’s rare I feel this way – I’m not a picky eater, I’m usually very pleased with most things. I got the fish and chips and the fish was tough. My friends said their fish tacos were really dry. I tried my daughter’s chicken fingers and they were also tough! It’s like they were using bad pieces of meat. The french fries were great. Overall, I don’t think it was worth the money.

Going off of the name I expected to see less to no kids here. It actually had 20 to 30 kids running around right by our area scooping up and collecting rocks in the bucket. Not a big deal but I was kinda surprised to see, No one watching them. We had an outdoor area that accommodated 11 or 12 people. Our waitresses said that she could only divide the bill up four times. I hate these types of places that do that. Just because we all came together doesn’t mean we want to add and subtract amongst ourselves trying to split the bill. I got up and went to the bar and ordered for myself and my lady. So my bartender ended up getting a nice tip!

I attended this golf course for a fundraiser for Guide Dogs of America, the golf course staff provided exceptional service. The beverages offered were of high quality. I intend to revisit this establishment during my next visit to Arizona.

Sunny day. Came for lunch. Found a table outside. Bees were a slight issue. I got beef tacos. Not much beef. Pretty average. My wife got a salad that was also just average. Staff were nice. Very busy. Tough finding parking. They had some kind of equipment display going on.

Lou’s Bar and Grill is one of our favorite places to eat in Phoenix. The outdoor area is spacious with beautiful views of the golf course and mountains, making it perfect for sunset drinks or a relaxed weekend brunch. It’s also super kid-friendly, with a casual vibe and plenty of room to run around. The food is fresh and consistently good, and it’s an easy stop if you’re spending the day at Papago Park or heading in or out of Scottsdale. Great service, great views, and an awesome outdoor dining spot.

Overall, great spot to relax, get some food, and enjoy a nice cool drink. Also, there is a big open grass area is great for families with kids who may want to run around and play.
Unfortunately, the past few times we’ve been here, service has been a miss. In general still better than a lot of places but if we have to ask for water multiple times and never got a refill before we ended up leaving, I can’t in good conscience give 5-stars.
Most recently, we tried a mix of things from the menu and all were pretty good! The Mac N Cheese with green chili was a favorite but beware that there is a little kick to it. We like that but know some may not. Nachos are great! For dessert, I always enjoy the Pizza Cookie dish

Indoor or outdoor seating is great. Wonderful staff and a nice selection of Happy Hour items. If you want a casual and comfortable experience and enjoy terrific scenery along with a relaxed atmosphere you should try Lou’s out.

Great place to drop in for breakfast or lunch. We just flew in and were headed over to the Desert Botanical Gardens and needed brunch. We had a wonderful view of the golf course, the staff was attentive and the food was delicious. I highly recommend.
