Going to be generous and average 2 reviews. When this place is open, it gets 5 stars (fun place, good food, good service). When they close without posting that they’re closed, it’s 1 star. Drove 2 hours only to find a sign saying closed for renovations. Receptionist at the hotel said it’s been closed since May. Wished I came here first, I just saw a post saying it’s closed until July 1st. I checked the Virginia’s horse racing website and Windmill’s facebook page. Nothing on either of those websites indicated that the place was closed. Windmill needs a better way to let people know when they’re not going to be open (update facebook page, update google hours, tell VA horse racing).
