Reviews
Dim Sum House is that proverbial “diamond in the rough” for those diners already aware or those willing to enter its humble doorway.
The dining area is small, perhaps 8 assorted tables. Take-out is very popular.
As its name suggests, there is an extensive Dim Sum offering, coupled with an extensive menu of favorite dishes.
The Salt and Pepper Squid and “Kong” Pao Chicken were among the best this diner has ever enjoyed. Fresh, bursting with flavor, and ample portions.
Dishes arrived in an order decided by the kitchen rather than in an “expected” sequence.
The service model appeared to be address one table at a time, from ordering to delivery, then on to the next.

Surprised to see shrimp toast on the menu!
Unfortunately, every dish fell short. The flavors were either off or noticeably lacking, and several items were not prepared in a way that aligns with traditional dim sum standards. For example, the 燒賣 contained large, pea-sized chunks of pork, whereas it should be made with finely minced pork for the proper texture. The 牛肉球 was, without exaggeration, completely unseasoned ground meat shaped into a ball and steamed- missing the seasoning and bounce that define this dish. The 蝦餃 was the only item that was passable.
The rice in the 糯米雞 did not absorb much fragrance from the lotus leaf and was missing several standard ingredients commonly found in this dish, such as mushrooms, Chinese sausage, and sometimes salted egg yolk. It was not unpleasant, but tasted incomplete compared to well-executed versions.
I understand that dim sum can vary slightly by region, with differences in seasoning and preparation. However, certain fundamentals remain consistent. 燒賣 is always made with minced pork, and 牛肉球 is always flavored, regardless of regional style. Based on these basic execution issues, I cannot consider Dim Sum House to be an authentic dim sum restaurant. The way these dishes were prepared gave the impression that little care was taken in preserving the integrity of the food.
Everything we had was just amazing!
I would have liked for my server to have given me the right boxes for my leftovers,
He gave me plastic one for pastry’s,
My food leaked, and the juices got all over.
Overall I highly recommend .
