Established eatery offering a menu of classic diner chow in spacious confines.

Cute, classic, and affordable diner. We had the eggs benedict, French toast, and an omelette – all of which were pretty good. Service was quick and friendly. This definitely feels like a family-run business. Really pleased with the cost to quality ratio, especially compared to some of the other places around here.

Spent the night in Rehobeth Beach and found Sammie’s Kitchen by accident. The two places that came up in our Google search for the best breakfast places in the area were packed. Not wanting to wait, we walked to the boardwalk and stumbled into this really cool restaurant. The place isn’t fancy but definitely clean and bright with plenty of seating. We got two orders of the Sammy’s Combo with two eggs, ham, sausage, bacon, hash browns and pancakes and rye toast. Excellent value for $12.99. The coffee was okay, as well as the freshly squeezed orange juice. Fancier places typically get rave reviews but there’s done thing to be said about great value neighborhood restaurants with genuinely warm service. I plan on coming back to Rehoboth Beach and this the is the only restaurant I would go back to.

Went here for brunch while on vacation with my boyfriend. The environment was very warm and welcoming and the staff as sweet as could be. Food was nice and warm and the pancakes super fluffy. I got the pancake combo which was a 10/10 in my book. Eggs cooked perfectly and the bacon just heavenly. My boyfriend got the Sammy’s combo. The cappuccino he got he mentioned was a bit too sweet for his liking but I found my vanilla latte to be a prefect mix of creamy and sweet. Both of us were plenty satisfied with our meals and definitely will return again our next visit to the beach.

Delightful. We enjoyed this restaurant connected to our hotel. The owner (I assume) was there and he was very attentive to us and our disabled child, insuring that our table accommodated us all easily. He made way and moved chairs etc to give plenty of room.
Service was quick. Coffee was good as was the food. Children’s menu items were small and one of my kids ordered a second breakfast. Many menu options available. I was totally delighted by the bananas and nuts on my pancakes, so good.
We will be sure to come back next time.

This place has great food with big portions. Reasonably priced and the staff was warm, engaging and quick with the refills. The photo attached shows one omelette entree and two sides. It was enough to feed more than two people. This will be a regular spot for future trips. Also the bacon is amazing, get a side of bacon…. Get an order to go on the way out. This place should consider a walk up bacon window like the fries places down on the boardwalk.

Had breakfast here during off season. The menu still the same however it’s a bit off. Ordered grilled pork chop and eggs any style (poached), however the pork chop we’re pan fried and the 3 poached eggs they all poached unevenly. Tried to get fresh vegetables instead of hash brown or pancake but they don’t have any. The seafood omelette also kinda off the seafood taste very fishy. The french toast however were very good. Overall it’s a mixed bag

The wait staff is very sweet and do a great job. However, the cook, NOT GOOD at all! I ordered an egg white omelet with spinach and feta with rye toast. When the waitress brought it out I was excited to eat because the presentation was beautiful. But once I had my first bite the egg whites were extremely runny and there was no feta in sight. I told the waitress and she said she will take it back and have them add the feta. She brought it back saying they made a new omelet. I thanked her and I noticed it was just the same omelet with feta sprinkled on top. If it was a new omelet it was just as runny as the previous one. By the way they also didn’t give me rye bread, they gave me pumperknickle instead. I wasn’t able to eat any of my breakfast my husband ordered the eggs with sausage biscuits and the biscuits were extremely hard. He tried using the fork and knife to cut the biscuits and it was really hard to cut when he finally got to cut the biscuit broke off and when he bit down they crunched like he was eating gravel! I felt bad for our waitress she was so sweet and tried to be helpful. We were looking for a place to return to with our family and friends when we move here and this is definitely not going to be our place!!! You need a better cook, don’t use week old biscuits and if you don’t know how to make a simple omelet, I don’t know what to say. Sad, very sad

The perfect diner in the perfect location! Oh not to mention a super friendly staff and delicious food! I got the French toast platter but we had pancakes, waffles, eggs, bacon, and coffee at the table. Not to overlook the cool kid with braids that gave my wife a 20oz coffee prepped to go and walk the boardwalk! He was the real mvp but overall a great experience at the most reasonable prices

If you have all the time on the world to kill on a Sunday morning, breakfast at Sammie’s is for you. You will join the community of tables around you filled with hungry customers. Enjoy three coffee refills as the waitress walks around with regular and decaf, dispensing apologies. And when you’re FINALLY served, say nothing about the soggy, floppy “toast” or you’ll miss the dog parade. Shout out to the ladies next to us who shared a piece of bacon.
If you can’t handle the crowd, Sammie’s, then don’t open. NONE of us will be coming back.

What a great place to have a meal. After a long bike ride down from Lewes, we were tired and hungry. Excellent food, great prices and the staff was friendly and engaging. Sammy told me that he’s been in business for 27 years, and I can certainly understand why he’s been successful. Thanks for a great meal experience.
