Carne asada taco: it actually was very good. It had a hint of pineapple to it which elevated its flavor. Would definitely get that again.
Al pastor super burrito: its flavor profile was interesting. It was good but it was cumin forward in taste. Each bite had about 3-4 different things going on. Very well made but was confused about its overall taste.
All in all I would def get the carne asada and probably make it a burrito order. Give this spot a try.
They have really good pastor. It’s so bomb. Carne asada is good as well. Pollo is just ok. A small gripe is for like $4, the portions could be bigger for street tacos. The grilled peppers and onions are a nice touch though.
The roasted salsa and habanero salsa are bomb! Verde salsa is hit or miss. Last time it was way too acidic from the tomatillos. Chips were stale last time as well, so knocking half a star off that.
Service is always friendly and the facilities are clean. Def a great hole in the wall joint for some amazing pastor tacos! So whenever we are in the area, we grab some tacos and hit up the beach.
I’ve been coming here for years and usually enjoy the food, though service can be inconsistent. Today was a major exception. I stopped in with my son for a late afternoon lunch and waited several minutes before being acknowledged.
The woman working the front counter initially seemed fine, but that quickly changed. Our order was made incorrectly, and when I asked about it, she became defensive and blamed me. I then witnessed her arguing with the man who was preparing the food, appearing frustrated and having to convince him the order was wrong so it would be remade. The tension between the front counter and the kitchen was obvious and uncomfortable.
My son’s order was extremely simple—a bean and cheese burrito—yet it still became an issue. This is not how customers should be treated. I rarely leave negative reviews, but this experience was disappointing, especially being prompted to tip before even receiving the food.
