My wife and I have gone into the store multiple times, but their food truck came to our apartment complex tonight. Not all empanadas are created equal. These particular ones are always delicious. I had the #1 (Original Chicken) and the #7 (Steak and Cheese). The spinach and cheese and the chicken florentine empanadas are great also. It is great for a quick bite or a meal at any time of the day. This is always worth a repeat visit.

I love the new restaurant! These are the best empanadas I’ve ever tasted! I was so excited for the restaurant to open at the new location and they didn’t disappoint! Beautifully decorated interior and super friendly staff! I recommend the pot roast and the chicken florentine ones. Delicious!

I recently visited an empanada store and was impressed with the freshness and flavor of their empanadas. The dough was perfectly cooked and had a nice texture, and the fillings were delicious and generously portioned.
My friend and I tried several different options, and they were all fantastic. The store had a good selection of empanadas and the staff were friendly and helpful. Overall, I highly recommend this empanada store for anyone looking for a delicious meal.

We had a basketball shoot out at Mission Viejo High School, and this place was across the street. The staff is very helpful and friendly. The restaurant is clean, has several tables up front and a few booths in the back. The empanadas were a good size; like a good hand pie size, rather than some places that serve the little snack sized appetizers. We have 2 athletes who are big eaters, so we bought a dozen. A dozen empanadas costs between $29 and about $33 (I think), depending on which ones you get. There are numbers stamped into the pastry so you know which is which. We tried the Ham and Cheese, Four Cheese, Spinach and Cheese, Veggie, Chicken Cordon Bleu, and the Beef Pot Roast. They have variety of dippng sauces, and we tried the House Chimichurri and the Chipotle Ranch sauces. Everything we ate was delicious, and we liked trying different empanada-sauce combos. It was a great lunch, and we definitely recommend this place. We were too full to try their dessert empanadas, but we will be going back.

Found out about this place from my sister in-law and I’m so glad I did. I love empanada’s and their aren’t too many places that do them right. The Empanada Maker is delicious and they have so much too choose from. My favorite is the Philly Cheese Steak empanada. You can eat them there or take them home. They also offer take a bake empanada’s. Staff was friendly, place was clean and you get a lot of food. This is my new stop on the way to Anaheim and back to San Diego!

They don’t open until 8am on Saturday and Sundays the serve breakfast until 10-10:30am but if you don’t want breakfast, you can order the others but will take 5-7 minutes to bake.
They don’t have the chili verde anymore 🙁 .
The lady baking was super friendly. They serve salads and dessert empanadas. The place is clean and smell amazing.

Doordash order!

Did not go into the shop so I can not comment on it. But the order that we made through the Doordash was fulfilled very quickly!

The empanadas was really good. I love the sweet coconut empanada and the breakfast bacon empanada. Those are definitely my two favorite ones.

The other ones also good though! They were still nice and warm when we got them.

Very recommended! Thank you.

Fast, delicious, creative, and priced fairly. This is our second time here, the chicken Florentine, ham and cheese, and Philly cheesesteak empanadas were to die for.

The best thing about The Empanada Maker is definitely it’s title. As for the empanadas, and the many many 5 Star reviews, I do not agree with the praises. Two dozen were purchased, at the tune of $25+ each for their original style group, which are a little less expensive than the more gourmet?
Place is kind of big, but it looked like it was a little deserted for all the hoopla we had been led to believe, and fall for. We were passing through, so we purchase on faith alone, something along the lines of if so many people think they are great, what could possibly go wrong then?
First dozen: chicken, beef, spinach, ham and cheese. Dough was appropriate, not spectacular. Beef and chicken filling almost creamy, as if a food processor had been used to mix all the ingredients, sacrificing texture and pretty much all the aspects that makes an empanada a memorable bite. If their chicken and beef are part of the 5 Stars praises, then the ideal empanada surely would deserve 50 Stars? Spinach were definitely much better, perhaps for the fact that they require less ingredients. All the empanadas, must be said, had liberal amount of filling.
Ham and cheese were decent, service was all to ourselves as movement of people was minimal, which brought forth the question: since it has so many enthusiastic reviews, at what time exactly it begins to gather clientele? Go figure, for we arrived around 12:30 PM, and one other patron was already eating. Empanadas are served in pizza type boxes, which I thought was a nice touch, with proper advertisement in such a large surface. The second dozen included: four cheeses, more ham and cheese, spinach and beef. Not very innovative on our part, I concede, but we figure they were going to be so good, who cares? Decent enough to be edible, but please don’t be saying these are the bees knees, okey? Usually busy places indicate large number of happy customers. The chimichurri? was very oily, and somewhat usable, but one of the two given, was tossed away. If I want to overdose on oil, I will do it in the comfort of my home, with either olive oil or canola purchased at reliable Costco. Should mention that my beautiful companions said that the ladies bathroom was nice and clean, and that should count for something. 3 Stars.

A quick and easy empanada shop that is tasty whether you are in the mood for one or a dozen. They have multiple choices of basic empanadas and specialty empanadas, as well as dessert empanadas. Don’t forget the sauce too! I recommend the chimichurri sauce.

You can take a dozen home with you for your family, or even get ready to bake ones. Not too picky? Grab some “yesterday” empanadas for more than half off.
