For some reason I continue to give them chances. They always seem to mess up my whole sandwich order which contains three ingredients.Although it has never been as bad as it was tonight. Our ticket was lost and when we waited for 30 minutes, we decided something was up. Once talking to one of the employees, they made our order. When we finally got my order, it came with three more ingredients than I wanted. Overall, service has never reached the bare minimum.

My wife and I eat here from time to time and the sandwiches are good…the service is usually ok… sometimes even good…depends on who’s working.
Like anywhere anymore it seems like the prices are a little high. With a sandwich meal you can get chips or a salad. The side salad is big but not that good…and for the life of me I don’t understand why so many places don’t have 1000 Island dressing. I asked the girl how often people ask for 1000 Island and she said “all the time… A lot”. So, it figures that they don’t carry it right? Lol. Kind of like how they got rid of the Reuben sandwich…my favorite sandwich they had.
If their salads were good and they offered 1000 Island dressing…and if the service was a little better I’d give them 5 stars.

I just experienced not one but two very unpleasant ladies today. One of my worst experiences I have ever had at either of the stores here in town.
If you walk in here and they’re busy you might as well walk back out because the employees here are super rude and unprofessional. They definitely passively let you know that they’re upset you’re eating here.

Needed to carry out 2 medium sandwiches mistakenly not made to carry out. Seen some foam boxes and asked for 2. Was told NO! They are only for the large sandwiches but offered the small paper wraps that don’t fit around the medium sized. Asked the manager and got no again. They are only for large. I never had a restaurant refused a foam box for carry out. Yelp have the sandwich poorly wrapped and get cold going home. Don’t order sm or medium to go they will get cold. And medium wrapping will be marginal. I will no have that problem because I do not need to eat their outrageously priced sandwiches.

So, my husband had to come to Topeka from Missouri, and I came with him only because it’s the only time I can get Schlotskys. My husband went to this gage location at around 730pm on Friday night to get my sandwich. He realized he didn’t have his phone, so he asked the female taking orders if he could use the phone to make sure he got me the correct sandwich and was told emphatically no. He asked if a certain employee was working and was told no again. As he walked away, the girl then just said “whatever”. Worst service ever. My husband goes to this one all the time…not anymore! A place is only as good as their weakest employee…therefore the gage schlotskys sucks!

Love the food here. Service…. Not so much. Seemed like we were inconveniencing the girl at the register to have to order, then forgot one of our sandwiches. When asked about the missing sandwich, experienced an attitude like it was my fault they forgot it. When they brought it out, she just dropped on the table and walked away with an attitude. No words at all. Drop and walk off…. Again, like I was bothering them to serve us, correctly even.

The food is always great here. However, I ordered my sandwich with no tomatoes and add mustard. It had tomatoes on it and no mustard. Other than that I love this place.

The store’s computer system was down, no biggie. The manager took and made my order anyway. I ate my sandwich and went to pay, still no computer. He was only going to charge me $5 for 2 sandwiches and I said, “No, you guys have bills to pay.” I gave him $20 cash and thanked him for the service. Great store and great service!!!
