The nostalgia is worth a visit alone! Fantastic atmosphere. Just as I remember. I waited tables for Darryls in Midlothian, VA for a couple of years and this place was just like it. Two stories and all kinds of neat little tables to sit at. Themed seating areas, which is quite fun. Great to just walk around and take a look at everything. Our server was fantastic! Great service. The potato skins we’re massive and cooked perfectly. My wife said her French Onion soup was spot on. I got the 3 sampler with onion rings and beans. Shrimp was a little overcooked, but the ribs were just as I remembered. Tenders were pretty tender. Got a fresh peach lemonade that hit the spot. Like the local beers they had on tap. Hugh place, 2 fire pits outside and some outdoor seating. We had a Great meal.and fantastic time!

Industrial mixed with Rustic interior, eye catching and gives out great atmosphere. Buffalo chicken wings and Classic BBQ beef ribs are great great. I believe Beef ribs are unique as usually only see pork ribs in other BBQ restaurants. We like the Sauce and taste. Linguine probably is average. I would come again for the beef ribs, price is also fair enough. Oh, cocktail is recommended too.

My husband and I went for Friday night dinner. We used to go to the Darryl’s in Winston Salem when we were dating. This was a trip back in time for us and we loved every minute of it. The food was delicious, the portions were huge and our server Lindsay was fantastic. We can’t wait to go back

Such a good meal at Darryl’s in Greensboro this evening. The food was great and all the wait staff were friendly and mannerly. Inside was really clean and the overall atmosphere and decor is really fun and welcoming. Our waiter Darrius was very courteous and attentive.

This place brought back a lot of memories, going back to 1982 in Winston-Salem. The only problem is that the policy, processes, or staffing made it so it took a very long time to get a coffee and a beer. I can half understand the beer, waiting on the bar, but coffee? If a restaurant wants to make money, get the drinks out fast, to sell more drinks. Get the appetizers and food out fast to get your table back. I think the 2 of us were there 2 hours. But the food was good and I love the atmosphere.

The atmosphere was great the entire restaurant is very different than any other restaurant in the area, our table was upstairs in an old elevator car but they have tables in Farris wheel carts and one area is covered in graffiti. The downstairs has the bar and lots of seating. The staff are all very polite and the food came out in an acceptable time. We definitely recommend Darryl’s Wood Fired Grill and we will definitely be returning.

My party and I visited Darryl’s tonight and had one of the worst restaurant experiences I’ve ever encountered.
We were quoted a 20-minute wait for a table, which was fine, so we headed to the bar to wait. This was the first red flag. The beer list was inaccurate, and it was a real struggle to get any service from the bar staff.
After our wait, we were seated at our table. And that’s where the experience completely fell apart.
We sat. And we waited. And we waited.
No server ever approached our table. Not to take a drink order, not to drop off water, not even a simple “I’ll be right with you.” We were completely invisible.
After a significant amount of time, we managed to flag someone down and asked to speak to a manager. We then waited again. I am writing this entire review from our table while waiting for a manager who, just like our server, never arrived.
After being ignored at the bar, ignored at our table, and ignored by management, we gave up. We walked out without a single employee speaking to us. We left and went to Smokey Bones, where we were actually served.
This wasn’t just “slow” service; it was a complete operational breakdown. Absolutely unacceptable. We will not be back.
