Small business, but it’s really good sushi. I love it fresh noodles and broth flavorful. Drove an hour for food, but it was good. Calamari was okay, not worth the price. The place was clean, but the bathrooms dusty. If big fans of sushi, yes, go there authentic Japanese sushi.

We’re so glad to find this little gem. Authentic and so good. The couples are super nice, very efficient and all the orders came out quickly. We’ve been coming back several times since trying different dishes including their famous ramen. All of the ones we ordered were very very good.
Just keep in mind that you have to make reservation or else you won’t get a table. This is a tiny place with only 5 tables!

Delicious! We have been here several times over the years. Love the small personal setting. Husband and wife do a great job with cooking. Noodles were very good. Sushi was perfect. We have taken friends and family who love it just as much.

This was a neat place. Very cozy and small. You must have reservations! Husband/wife run the place. Sushi was delicious as well as the pot stickers. I ordered the chicken katsu curry. Wow, was that good! I just got back from Japan where there is a restaurant chain called Coco Curry. It tasted just like that. There’s no rush and you keep ordering what you want until you’re done! The prices were very reasonable and I would absolutely go back! There were 3 adults for dinner.

Every time that I’ve gone to Hanamaru it has been a delight. The food is delicious and the atmosphere is cozy. We are lucky to have authentic Japanese cuisine in Ogden, a true hidden gem. The owners run the front and back of house by themselves and they do an amazing job. Can’t wait to go back.

Very limited seating with short hours of operation, so it is highly recommended to make a reservation. The line piles up quick at the door.
This restaurant is run by a couple and have it set up where visitors fill their own water and bus their own plates to a rack. This takes away the need for servers and also makes it so you don’t have to wait for refills or dishes to be cleared. They use a ticket system for ordering where it’s first come, first serve.
The food was incredible and tasted just like what I remember from living in Japan. The bench seats were enjoyable because we got to watch the two prepare food.
Appetizers, entrees, and sushi were excellent. Don’t miss this one; it’s worth the wait.

KNOW BEFORE YOU GO! They are a small self assist establishment. There’s a fridge with bottled beverages and you are expected to get it if you ordered one. Clean your own table! There is a wire rack in the corner for your used dishes and a garbage can for trash.
Dining in is small, cheap folding tables and no wait staff.
I went for sushi but they were not serving it at the time unfortunately. Food was great and very friendly staff. Understand they are small and need your patience. The food came out quick and was perfect. Would definitely go again.

No other words except it’s an amazing hidden gem that I always go back to. I’ve never had anything from here that I did not like.

I’ve been wanting to try this place out for years, but with the odd hours I just hadn’t found the time. I finally was able to go for dinner and it was well worth the wait. You order as a table on a sheet and bring the sheet to the front. They are very quick with getting food out. Everything we tried was delicious, especially the agedashi tofu and yakiniku dinner. We will definitely be back.

This place really is a hidden treasure. Even as you approach the building, you get such a great authentic Japanese atmosphere. We made a reservation and I suggest you do as well because if you don’t you might now get in. The food was really high quality and delicious. The dinners were around 15 each but we ended up getting some gyoza as well and a roll to share. Everything we tried was so good.
