The service at this location is always good but this location has a tendency to mix your sides with your main dish and especially with the chicken and dumplings. Which with most main dishes it wouldn’t matter but with two soupy foods it doesn’t work out. Makes it where they all mix together and makes both taste nasty. I love there dumplings and there mac and cheese but not when there mixed together. It only happens occasionally but it must just be whos in the back because both pictures below are from the same meal both mine and my fiances plates where both are mixed together. Just really wish they wouldn’t do this with soupy foods.

Although the inside may look a lil different, the hospitality, great tasting food, and The Herschel Way is still just as good as it’s always been! Milea, my server, was incredibly top notch with out going over the top. Her fast and friendly service combined with her attention to detail was outstanding! My compliments to the chef and team for a job well done with their quality, flavor, and presentation! Aubrey did an excellent job maintaining out of this world customer relations, leadership, and customer service; remember, your team is a direct reflection of your managerial leadership. Job well done! To the cute lil blonde host, here’s that picture I promised!

Our server was excellent but the biscuits were a tough. My husband and I both had the hamburger steak because it used to be good when it was on the menu. It had been brought back recently so we both ordered it. It came looking like a hamburger patty and it was really, really dry. It tasted like a dry burger too. It was also super loud in the restaurant. It seemed as if the remodel affected the acoustics somehow. I don’t know if that was possible but it sure seemed that way. I was a par 4 server in that Cracker Barrel years ago and the quality and standards seems to have dropped over the last several years. 3 or 4 months ago we ate at the CB in south Asheville and the mashed potatoes had grits in them! They were loaded with grits! Never had that one happen before. Our server admitted that someone poured them in by accident but that was all of the potatoes that they had. We keep going back every once in awhile because it’s usually decent, just not what it used to be.

The waitress was phenomenal. We waited an hour before we got our food, and then it came out sporadically. If you get a low review, it’s not because of the waitress, it’s the time it took to get our food. We had a child with us and she was hungry. This is not the first time it has taken forever to get our food. The restaurant wasn’t even busy. I will think twice before I go back. The waitress deserves a raise because she just didn’t know what to do when it took so long to get our food.

Went to this remodeled Cracker Barrel store for lunch. Food was pretty good, service was excellent. I didn’t really care for the remodel. I like the more rustic feel rather than the new look.

We had stopped going to any Cracker Barrel for a VERY long time due to some bad experiences after Covid. We stopped not expecting much just really wanted french toast that I didn’t have to cook. First the Store was beautiful, more open and beautifully presented. Then we are greeted by a sweet young woman who genuinely appeared to enjoy her job. We were then taken to our table and greeted quickly by our waitress who took care of us quickly and very pleasantly. The food was the best I’ve had at ANY Cracker Barrel EVER. Extremely pleased.

A friend and I came in for a bite. The food was great! Our server Mary H was especially pleasant, Mary has that rare combination of kindness, attentiveness and genuine southern hospitality that makes you feel like you’re eating at a friend’s house rather than a chain restaurant.
She kept our drinks filled, checked on us often without hovering, and made sure the food was exactly the way you wanted it. She even brought out some comeback sauce to try with my fries. You can simply tell she cares about her customers- it wasn’t just service, it was care.
In a world where great service is hard to find, Mary stands out. Cracker Barrel is lucky to have her, and we will definitely ask for her next time we come in.

I thought I was getting a deal, 2 sides for 7 bucks, but these cups are tiny and they didn’t even fill them all the way up. The greens were tasteless with no salt in sight, and the onion petals were supposed to have a special house sauce and I didn’t even get that. You can get better value for your money elsewhere around here.

This Cracker Barrel is amazing. The waitress was super kind, took her time with us and got our food out in very little time. The food was hot, fresh and delicious. I loved the small bottles of syrup that you were able to take home if not finished. The French toast was sooo good. I would definitely come back!

The only issue we really had was the hostess. She didn’t great us and didn’t say anything when she sat us at the table. Just walked off.
