I had a great experience at Sakura Grill! The hibachi steak and chicken were cooked to perfection, flavorful, and juicy. The staff was friendly and attentive, making the meal even more enjoyable. The lively atmosphere and delicious food made for a truly positive dining experience. I’ll definitely be returning!

Food was so delicious and quick! There were many staff walking around which made it easy to get what we wanted quickly. We enjoyed the hibachi food. I got the Sakura combo- chicken, steak, lobster, and shrimp, for $52 which I felt was very reasonable for the amount of food given!

One half of the restaurant is for more traditional sit-down, and the other half is for Hibachi. I went for the Hibachi grill. Maybe I’m just easily impressed, but I really did have a great time. Your mileage may vary depending on your group and the chef. From the Hibachi menu, I choose fried rice and salmon (received 2x fillets), and for a little extra charge I chose a hot tea (green tea, got a free refill), and I gave a generous tip for the experience, bringing my personal cost to $43. Expensive, yes, but worth the cost of admission. I say “admission” because a good Hibachi grill is food and also a bit of a show. If there is no entertainment, then something is not right. I was treated to a performance by the chef in handling a number of children and adults, and for no extra charge I was entertained by the adults who came under the effects of non-trivial quantities of sake. In case you aren’t familiar, a Hibachi chef is someone who couldn’t quite figure out if they wanted to be a chef or be on stage in front of an audience, and they mostly choose the former without giving up on the later. It took some time to get seated, and longer still for the chef to come out (likely they wanted to see if the other seats would fill up, an understandable goal when the chef is going to be preoccupied for the better part of an hour), and I ended up adjoining a larger group with several kids. Our chef handled it all. He had a Hidden Leaf headband in addition to his chef hat, the sake flowed, there was occasional bursts of fire, and, of course, the fried food served right off the grill. My compliments to the chef who navigated this chaos. Would not recommend to someone fastidious about their appearance or behavior, nor to someone who is having a bad day and just being irritable, but if you are neither of these, give it a shot 🙂

This restaurant is absolute the best I have went and tried.
The food is amazing.
Service was nice.
The chef who was grilling for us was funny!
Especially the one where I had to try to catch the food piece with my mouth.
I would go there again!

This was a fun place! They have two sections to eat in, so you can choose to sit at a regular table or have the hibachi experience. It was the first time my young kids had been to a hibachi, and they loved it. The atmosphere was quiet and peaceful. They had it decorated beautifully. We were seated quickly and had our orders taken shortly after. The servers were friendly and entertaining. The food was delicious, reasonably priced with good sized portions. We got edamame and spring rolls for appetizers, which were yummy, and the chicken with vegetables, fried rice and noodles. Everything was great! I have a feeling we will be back again!

Nicely decorated and well maintained Japanese style restaurant that serves quality food and is reasonably priced. They also have our favorite plum wine! Expect the traditional show and mouth catching food, while your dish is being prepared. They have a hibachi section and also regular tables section if you do not want the hibachi experience. We enjoyed the food a lot! Highly recommend the steak, chicken or shrimp hibachi! All of them were super delicious. The hibachi soup and salad which comes with any hibachi order is also of great taste. If you are from Ashburn area, give it a try and enjoy!

So we decided to have a laid back Thanksgiving with no cooking. Less Stress No Mess so to speak. Ordered from Sakura thinking we would be pleasantly pleased. Have been before. Had not been or ordered in a while and after tonight I now know why we stopped ordering from them. Ordered three filet two with shrimp. The filets were extremely overcooked. Rare is rare. I know it will be a little over once home but this was well done. Gross. No seasoning and just bland. The shrimp were way overcooked and like rubber. The veggies were mush and overcooked and swimming in liquid. Disgusting. The soup was pure sodium/salt. The fried rice was as hard as a brick and seemed old. NEVER AGAIN. Sorry excuse for hibachi and at 113.00 for three meals it was a rip off. Huge amount of soggy overcooked veggies and ridiculously small portion over overcooked rubbery protein. Better be perfect for that price and it was not. If owner wishes to discuss I welcome the dialogue.

10/10 every time. The Pear martini is fantastic as well as every food item. And service is fast and impeccable. Give us a booth with the dim lighting and we are SET! Ambiance is amazing!

Prices are competitive. I do wish the sushi was made fresh with real ingredients. Not grocery store sushi. Atmosphere was pleasant and staff was attentive and friendly.

Sakura Grill Ashburn offers a delightful dining experience with its diverse menu. I tried the steak and chicken hibachi, and both were cooked to perfection with a rich, savory flavor. The sushi rolls were fresh and artistically presented. The staff was attentive, ensuring a pleasant dining experience. The restaurant’s ambiance is inviting, making it suitable for both casual lunches and special dinners. I look forward to returning to explore more of their menu.
