Come taste for yourself. Every item on the menu is great quality, and prices are quite awesome as well compared to other taquieras that are overpriced with not so great quality. All employees are super kind and nice and will go above and beyond on precision with your order on how you would like it cooked. My family and I appreciated that. Overall impression with the food, atmosphere, and service, it’s bomb!!

Came in this morning on my way home after I got done fishing. Never had been here before, but my mother recommended it and glad we took the recommendation. Food came out almost instantly it seemed and being the only ones in the restaurant, the staff was quick to ensure we were comfortable and enjoying our food(we were). The key feature definitely seemed to be the giant fountain in the middle of the restaurant.

The ambience was great, I loved the original dining chairs and tables and the panoramic view of Yosemite Boulevard was a great because they had glass walls. They also had a fountain in the middle of the dining area and nice decor throughout.
The fried tilapia was amazing and seasoned well however my steak/al pastor burrito and steak tacos were below average. The steak was too dry for me and did not have much flavor. I even asked for half Al pastor and half steak to make sure I had some juices flowing in there but I’ll have to try again another time because it’s a beautiful dining area for sure.

Genuinely baffled that this place rates as high as it does given how mediocre it is in an area with a ton of spectacular Mexican food.

I order a wet carne asada burrito. What I got was something with maybe a dusting of green salsa (and it’s $1.50 extra for this. If it was just a free option I wouldn’t complain). The tortilla was dry, tough, and chewy in some parts and damp and fragile in others. The rice tasted watery. The carne asada itself had no flavor or seasoning. Not a whiff of cheese to speak of in any portion of the burrito despite the nice lady at the counter clearly telling me it should have.

Look, I’m normally not one to nitpick. But at the salsa bar, the pickled carrots and radishes weren’t on ice or even part of the bar- they were in cloudy cafeteria containers on a table pulled up haphazardly beside the bar, and the veggies within looked ancient- the carrots were completely dry. I don’t care of a salsa bar is perfectly fresh, but allowing the carrots to completely dry like that ruins their taste and texture, so it’s a legitimate issue.

Oh, and no free water despite being a brick-and-mortar establishment. At this point, Las Delicias is half a mile down Mariposa- I would have been much better going there. The cost of a burrito plus drink here is even in price at that point.

Google suggested this place for us when we searched up “best tacos in Modesto” my husband and I had a great experience, place was lit at 10 am a lot of hungry people coming in to order . Walked in and was greeted by the nice young lady at the front desk. They had music going (Ramon Ayala) and a beautiful water fountain in the center of the restaurant
Overall the food was really good . I had steak tacos meat was on point not greasy at all , salsa was very flavorful , My husband ordered their ranchera steak meat plate (hella good) rice was cooked just like how my Grandma used to make it
I will def be coming BACK to this place !

They have their days I guess. I eat/order takeout almost every week on Fridays. But every week the same food I order doesn’t taste the same and or some ingredients are missing. They have to do better to take care of their regular customers.

Nice friendly staff, great for a quick Mexican food stop during lunch time. Was empty during lunch time, looks like it’s a food spot for the local employees that work close to this restaurant. You get your food brought to your table. You have the option for drink refills and a stand to get as much as you want of extras for your food
lemon, sauces etc. They have horchata drink and it tasted good!
