Definitely recommend Huckleberry’s
Not all bad though. The portion sizes of the food is decent and the food tasted pretty good. The service was maybe 2/5. We went though nearly our whole meal before being offered a refill.(Since we were paying $4 for a small coke). All in all I would try here again(maybe) but the prices are a bit insane.
I ordered the pan seared catfish, it was served over jambalaya and a side of toast. I chose the chicken and sausage gumbo for the side instead of a salad.
No, let’s get into the nitty gritty!
First off, the catfish was real deal catfish not swai or basa. That also me boosted my rating to the 3 stars. The jambalaya is where the problems started… it was missing the jambalaya. It was in Arkansas but hadn’t quite made it into South Louisiana. The gumbo, was in Nebraska with tomatoes everywhere. We do not put tomatoes in the Gumbeaux in Louisiana. You can add them to jambalaya if you making Creole Jambalaya or keep them out if it’s Cajun Jambalaya but never don’t you ever add tomatoes or okra to your gumbo.
The fried catfish was the star of the day. It was a straight 10/10, the fries were banging and the dipping sauce was on point. My drink was the strawberry lemonade which was hitting as well.
Final thoughts, I will revisit for their breakfast items. I would recommend for a fried fish spot. They missed on the Louisiana staples but the customer service was amazing and atmosphere was great. 3 stars from me on this one but I’m looking for redemption soon.
First off, Noah was my waiter and he was so sweet and knowledgeable of the menu. It was hard to make a decision so he recommended a couple of dishes. I decided on the Old Time (I think that was the name ). It was soooo good. I opted to have the sauce on the side just in case I didn’t like it, but I did. However, the biscuit did it for me. It was like they used a flavored butter and the griddle to make it a little crispy. I like red potatoes so I went for that instead of hash browns. i don’t eat a lot, so I was able to bring half home.
Now, for y’all coffee drinkers, the coffee was good. I like to try local coffee shops so it was nice to have something different and good.
I tell you customer service is everything outside of a good meal. Therefore, from the female waitress that held the causal conversation, since it was slow, and I was waiting on my delicious food arrive, then to my wonderful waiter Noah. I would highly recommend this restaurant if you’re in the Keller area.
Friendly and great staffs!
Clean place and restroom.
Definitely, we will try other food when we visit fort worth again. 🙂
Kaylee was INCREDIBLE, her smile, friendly demeanor, and fast service will have us back soon.
She was very attentive with her service for all of her tables not just ours and it was noticed.
It’s not everyday the server makes you feel this welcomed and taken care of. She deserves a raise and we hope she is our server next time as well.
We are still undecided on which beignets flavor was our favorite but it a close call between Huckleberry and strawberry. Thank you.
Update: 2/22/26 Richard was an awesome waiter!! Super nice and attentive. Will be back!
