Put this place in Meursault on your must-stop list, if you’re in Burgundy and love white wine (and you should love). Just check the opening hours and reserve your table in advance. With a bit of planning you land there for lunch or dinner and end up thanking your past self.

You’ll find plenty of red wine joy too, even older Bordeaux vintages, but the Meursault selection and the pricing make you smile, sigh and consider moving in until you finish the cellar. That’s when you realise this little turn off the main road was meant to happen.

The cuisine is excellent, the ingredients are fresh and the service is great. You can tell instantly that locals come here. Winemakers greet each other across the room with a tiny nod. Most probably live a few streets away, and the vibes feel exactly like that.

I chose Mikulski and Roulot and both bottles were lovely. The 2020 already clicks, still being bright and full of energy, the kind of Meursault you gladly revisit, especially with food this good.

Thank you so much.

We went together with our friends and families for dinner. It was a busy evening the restaurant was full after we sat in. Services were excellent, food service pace was little slow perhaps it’s too busy in the kitchen. We love the wine selections recommended to pair with our dinner. It’s definitely worth a trip. Reservation is highly recommended.

If you fancy wine, this is the place to go. They have a big variety of wines to choose for a reasonable price which is cheaper than buying it at a local wine shop.

The service is great, and the food was delicious! Order it could be crowded and pretty loud for a fine dining restaurant. I must say the food was absolutely delicious and pairing was divine that they have. It was a perfect match.

Le Soufflot was an absolute gastronomical triumph! If you find yourself in Burgundy, this restaurant must be on your list of essential dining experiences.

We chose the 6-course menu at 90 euros per person and had a truly enjoyable meal filled with great conversation. Their “bible”-sized wine list is a work of art in itself, and I highly recommend ordering a bottle or two, as they are very reasonably priced.

The service was also impeccable; the team masterfully managed the pacing and plating of each dish, meticulously explaining everything as it was served. Despite our last-minute changes to the number of diners, they were exceptionally accommodating.

Without a doubt, this is one of my top spots in all of Burgundy!

Magical. Absolutely in my top restaurants in France. Beautiful seasonal food that’s not overly engineered and an exceptional wine list at very fair prices. Top notch glassware to enjoy wine from. Great advice from the sommelier as to wine selection.

Amazing restaurant in the heart of Meursault. This restaurant offers a wine list for low prices. This is their policy and therefore they have an exceptional impressive list. We had the full Monty menu, what we highly recommend. We loved every dish. Service professional en helpfull. We loved it!

This place in Meursault is a bit hidden; right off a big road and the entrance isn’t super obvious. Let me start by saying: the wines here are genuinely excellent and a lot of them surprisingly affordable. Not cheap, of course, but even for €50 or €60 you can get a great bottle. They also give good advice about what to drink, the sommelier was very kind.

Unfortunately, the rest of the service feels quite cold and uninterested. They clear plates incredibly fast and rush the courses one after the other. It’s honestly such a pity.

The menu is very, very small. You can pick either a three-course or six-course menu, but if you go for six courses, you basically just get all the available dishes; there’s no real choice.

The gougères (cheese puffs) and amuse bouches (appetizers) we got — they’re free of charge — were very good and made us think we were off to a great start.

But the dishes were unfortunately really underwhelming. The menu felt dated and uninspired; like getting iceberg lettuce on a stick (seriously?!) as a side with the pasta. The first course with the crispy soft boiled egg was okay, but the carrot and dill sauce was a bit weird.

The main course was especially bad: rigatoni pasta that was undercooked, a bisque that was cooked way too far, truffle that tasted like nothing — overall flavors that just didn’t work. To top it off, we both felt unwell afterwards.

The setting is quite pretty but also feels cold and lifeless. Not exactly the kind of place that makes you want to stay for a long dinner. Which is such a pity, because the wines are EXCELLENT — they deserve a much warmer, more thoughtful experience.

We try to come at least once when we’re in Burgundy so I’ve been reticent to write a review because we’ve wanted to keep Le soufflot a slight secret, but it’s time. This is a beautiful, intimate restaurant in Meursault with unique, marvelous food and a very extensive wine list presented by a chef who seems to be just enjoying his love of inventive, delicious, meticulously presented food.

A standout from winter 2024 was the butternut squash thinly sliced, perfectly cooked & fanned on top of grilled mont d’or cheese. Omg how?! The mont d’or is not overwhelming or too rich, the texture of the squash is a perfect al denté and is perfectly paired w the cheese. And this is just the entree of one delectable meal! Also, the very thinly sliced Paris mushrooms on anything-please! We just can’t! They’re just so delicious!

Le soufflot’s staff is efficient, knowledgeable and friendly. They’re happy to explain the dishes and the sommelier’s knowledge of the wines on their encyclopedia-sized wine list is truly remarkable. Just go with his recommendation.

Come experience this lovely restaurant (how they don’t have a @michelin star or two is criminal) but please, remember to be kind and live. Enjoy the food, drink the wine and be in the moment.
