Had a rude interaction today with a blonde worker. She was rude from the start and when I asked for nachos she said they were out which was fine so I asked TWICE what other food options were available… she looked at me and refused to list off any other items on the menu. Just an unpleasant experience. The custard was good though and the brunette who served it to me was nice & polite.

Scouting out my new town, I have to say, Downtown Hammond is so charming with so many places to stop in and eat. Ran into Eddie’s Famous Frozen Custard. I decided to try the Tangie Turtle Speciality Sundae. Was one of the best custards I have ever eaten in my life. Was thick, rich, and creamy. Too good! Inside had a cute seating section. They also had outdoor seating, and if you are in a hurry a drive thru as well. Service was great despite being busy. Stop in, you won’t be disappointed. Perfect place for those summer days and evenings!

The food is good, but every time they had you your custard, it’s always dripping and covered in caramel. They never attempt to clean it up or give you any napkins. It creates a huge mess. Do better.

I don’t give many five stars, but when I do it’s because I’m driving down the road shoveling down a scoop of vanilla topped with fudge brownie chunks. Its like this place is a black hole – if i go near it im getting sucked in. Skip everything else – this is the place to get your cool treats in Hammond.
