Some dishes truly stand out especially the pasta, which is delicious and very well prepared. There are a few items that are good but not as memorable, but for the most part, the experience is very positive.
One thing I really appreciate is that every main dish comes with a salad and a complimentary dessert. That detail definitely makes a difference and adds great value to the overall experience.
The atmosphere is beautiful, with a rustic yet elegant style that feels warm and inviting.
Overall, it’s a place I would return to, particularly for the pasta and the excellent value they offer.
A special shoutout to my favorite server, Val, who is incredibly knowledgeable about the menu and brings such great energy. Also, a special mention to Kyle, who went above and beyond to provide us with top-notch service.
It’s people like them who make you want to come back again and keep this place at the very top of your restaurant list.
It was wonderful to return to the Old Spaghetti Factory after nearly 20 years and find that its charm remains intact. My companion, Marlene, called it “the busiest restaurant I have been in,” which speaks to its enduring popularity!
The service was excellent and the food was reliably delicious. I chose the Seafood Alfredo Linguine, and it was perfect. I also enjoyed a glass of the “Two Oceans” South African Chardonnay.
The energy was infectious—lots of young, efficient staff serving many happy people and groups. Even arriving early around 5:30 PM on October 18, 2025, the huge dining room was already buzzing. A perfect evening in Gastown!
The place has such a warm and welcoming atmosphere, with very friendly staff.
Everyone was incredibly kind.
As for the food, it speaks for itself — the soup, salad, and bread we were served upon arrival tasted heavenly
Highly recommended.
I definitely won’t forget this place and will be coming back.
The food was good, with great portions for a reasonable price!
Our server Jisoo (was her name if I remember correctly) was so welcoming and checked up on us multiple times.
She honestly made our trip to Vancouver and this restaurant so lovely!
Thank you for the amazing dinner experience!
I also loved that the other servers would check up on us too.
As my wife and I sought a pasta-based treat.
To the Factory of Noodles we went, side-by-side,
To sample the “Dine Out” with stomachs and pride.
But the noodles were limp and the sauce lacked a soul,
Like a reheated ration served up in a bowl.
“Tis Gordon Food Service!” I cried with a frown,
“Trucked in from a crate and then simmered on down!”
At two in the morning, the nightmare began,
A pain that would humble the sturdiest man.
I raced to the chamber, my heart full of dread,
As the ghosts of the shrimp and mussels rose up from the dead.
Four times I have labored in anguish and woe,
With a fire down under that simply won’t go.
Each visit a trial, a sting, and a scare—
I’ve lost all my skin and I’ve lost all my hair!
My dignity’s vanished, my bottom is sore,
I’ll darken the Factory’s threshold no more.
So heed you this warning, stay clear of the gate,
Lest the “reheated” dinner decide your own fate!
The food itself was outstanding. Every dish we ordered came out hot, fresh, and full of flavor. The pasta was perfectly cooked, the sauces were rich and delicious, and the portions were very generous. Each bite reminded us why this place has such a strong reputation. It was clear that the ingredients were fresh and carefully prepared, which elevated the dining experience.
Another highlight of our visit was the wonderful staff. The team was not only attentive and efficient but also genuinely warm and welcoming. They checked in regularly to make sure we had everything we needed, and they even gave us thoughtful recommendations from the menu. Their patience, smiles, and professionalism really made us feel valued as guests. It’s rare to see this level of service combined with such a friendly attitude, and it left a lasting impression on us.
What truly sets this restaurant apart is its incredible value for money. Finding a place where you can enjoy such delicious food, great ambiance, and attentive service without breaking the bank is not easy. We went as a group of four and enjoyed a full, satisfying meal together. When the bill arrived, the total was just $93. Considering the quality, portion sizes, and overall experience, this price felt unbelievably fair and budget-friendly.
All in all, The Old Spaghetti Factory delivered on every level – delicious food, excellent service, a cozy and beautiful atmosphere, and very reasonable prices. It’s a restaurant we would gladly return to, whether for another family dinner, a casual outing with friends, or even a special celebration. We left completely satisfied and happy, and we are already looking forward to our next visit. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for an Italian-inspired dining experience that combines quality, charm, and affordability in the best way possible.
