I stay in Bedford every summer but came to Mitchell to try eating somewhere different. Everyone enjoyed their pizza and the breadsticks were yummy. I thought the prices were good for a sit down place. We all had the traditional crust so I cannot comment on the “Chicago style” pizza.

Place was closed, but for good reason. This was when we had the major snow storm. Their heater stopped working, so they couldn’t operate. Which for those who don’t know, if you don’t have a working heater, per OSHA regulations, if you don’t have a working heater in a business, you can’t be open because it becomes a safety issue especially since they had the major snow storm hit dead on.

Skyline is hard to beat.

Update: skyline again, very good but the wait was a little longer than I expected given there were 3 tables and 7 or 8 employees on staff. I think the table number they give you is the wait time in hours…we watched a guy sit in the drive thru for 20 min and overheard a gal say his pizza had been sitting on the warmer the entire time.

This was an amazing trip! 12 of us went and they were very accomdatiting and the food and atmosphere was so family friendly! The service was excellent, and very clean bathrooms which is first thing I look at! Salad bar and pizza was hot and fresh!! Even those around us was commenting on how service was even though they was busy!! And they worked hard to clean the tables quickly!! Very professional!

It took 5 minutes before paying for the buffet when we were the only ones in line. The cashier walked by us twice before taking our money. There wasn’t very much on the buffet and there wasn’t any clean tables.

Delicious pizza, my dad says this is the best Chicago’s pizza in Indiana. Definitely get yourself an order of bread sticks with the cheese sauce. A personal favorite. Don’t hold it against them if they ruin dominos for you.

Really delicious pizza! It was fresh and exactly what we ordered. The bbq bacon cheeseburger we ordered thin crust and it was perfectly crispy and delicious. The deep dish was sausage and pepperoni, and incredibly good as well. Very cheesy as you can see. Expect a little wait on getting your food because it’s made fresh to order. Get an order of breadsticks while you wait. So so good. If you’re in the area, there aren’t many places to stop that aren’t fast food… this one is worth the stop in.

I almost always order a cheese pizza for my review of pizza joints. I mean the cheese is the benchmark for all other variations of pizza. If you can’t get the cheese pizza right, you got issues. As such I ordered the 7″ cheese traditional.

I went inside to order and dine in. When I got inside there wasn’t much of a line (you order at the counter). The salad bar and pizza buffet was open. Again I opted for my fresh cheese pizza. The young man that took my order was neither friendly nor rude. Just doing his job. All the workers were wearing masks.

I have to say, I have eaten at the French Lick Chicago’s Pizza, and done a review for that one. These two are in fact different. Maybe the same ingredients, maybe the same owners, but there is a difference.

Inside there is plenty of indoor dining space, a salad bar, and the buffet was open. However it was pretty busy, and the few tables that were open still had food scraps and dirty plates on them. I found one on corner table that was open and clean.

The pizza dough has a very mild flavor,  but it does have a slight bread flavor, nothing intriguing. The dough was nothing but chewy. No snap anywhere, not even the crust. The red sauce was also pretty skimpy and seemed bland. Cheese wasn’t very oily, but was a bit salty. The flavor definitely came from the cheese. I also had an order of breadsticks, they were also just chewy, no crunch or snap. Very mild flavor.

Pros: None

Cons: Not super clean if busy, pizza was bland, breadsticks are bland.

I would recommend the French Lick Chicago’s Pizza if given the choice. Not a horrible experience, but nothing at all stood out.
