Was NOT given any utensils for my burger no bun, was not given any napkins. Drink was not filled all the way when I was given the cup. Burgers are great! I am not a fan of their fries. I don’t like crunchy thin fries. If you do you might like them. Was not given any ketchup for my fries, when the lady handed me the bag she walked away immediately leaving me no time to check the bag for utensils,napkins,ketchup, so then had to go find her again to ask for ketchup. Forget the other two missing things I’ll just eat like a caveman in my car and eat with my fingers and wipe my mouth with grease and toppings on my shirt. Or heck just use my socks to wipe my mouth.
Tea was not spoiled and was good. Great toppings! Pickles are tasty! Onions were good. Kitchen lady cooking the burgers did a good job on our burgers!

I went to Steak ‘n Shake today. The shake machine wasn’t working which was a really big bummer. It’s literally called steak n SHAKE. But I ordered anyways as I really wanted a double burger and fries. Get to the window, pay, and they pull me up where I wait 10-15 minutes for my food. Not a problem. I get being short staffed. But when I look in my bag, these are my fries. These are not Steak ‘n Shake fries. Not sure if they ran out or if this location changed fries? Super disappointing as there was no communication of the fries being different.

Stopped in for a Double Garlic Steakburger with no cheese. After taking a few bites and it tasting funny I decided to check out the rest of the burger. After flipping it over I discovered a LARGE DARK GREEN MOLD SPOT!!! Undeniable MOLD!!! I drove right back to the restaurant and spoke with the manager. He proceeded to pull a bag of buns, tossed them around and said “it must be something from the grill”. He denied everything. In all my years of eating burgers from steak and shake I have never had something undeniably look like mold end up on my burger from the grill. Never! I got my money back and will NEVER return to any S&S.

We love this Steak n Shake. We are not fast food or even chain restaurant eaters, but this place is an exception to the rule. Not many places you can eat out with a family of 5 for dinner and dessert and get out spending $60.00 and completely satisfied with your meal. The food is always good here! I was so excited when I found out they made the switch to beef tallow, but quickly “un” excited once I found out they pre fry the fries in an oil before they’re sent to the restaurant and then fried in tallow! I wish they would change to tallow all the way through. Service is always great at this location, and the restaurant clean. Several of the servers have been the same for years- which I love.

The Frisco Melt is a reliable winner, and you simply can’t go wrong with a side of crispy thin fries dipped in their tangy fry sauce. It is my absolute favorite! Get the garlic Parmesan toppings too. My wife got the steak burger with fries. Of course, the star of the show is their namesake milkshake – thick, creamy, and with a flavor for every mood. I got the Reese’s peanut butter and she got the chocolate and vanilla mixed shake. While service can sometimes be a bit slow, the prices are reasonable, making it a solid choice for a satisfying and affordable meal. Today the service at this location was super FAST, fresh and fabulous.

For a place that only makes one thing, they sure are incredibly slow. Expect to wait upwards of 15 minutes to even speak to an employee if you’re trying to pick up an order, they’ll typically just stare at you while playing on their phone in the back because presumably only one person runs the register and is too busy doing other things. And if you get lucky enough to have anyone even acknowledge you, it’s usually with an incredibly rude remark letting you know they have no clue when it will be ready. I’ve put up with it for a while because the food is good but truly, I don’t think I’ve ever experienced such consistently bad customer service from another establishment in Pensacola. On multiple occasions I’ve had to wait almost an hour for a single burger (not even a meal) while I literally watch multiple employees do nothing. Truly embarassing.

Their fries are fried in Beef Tallow. If you’ve never had any you should. Hands down the best fries in the fast food world. Most fast food fries were cooked in either Beef Tallow or Lard and had a much better taste. However, they stopped using them decades ago. For whatever reason, Steak and Shake is using it and I for one am happy. The fries are not greasy, have a great flavor and you get a large helping for not much money. Their burgers are great and their shakes are even better. I usually get the chocolate shake with Oreos and M&M’s. I take my shake home and put it in the freezer. In a couple of hours it’s nice and cold but not frozen. The staff are busy but get my order fast and correct. If I want a fast food burger and shake, this is where I go.

Update: I went back they were late to open and slow to get our food out. Probably a last visit for myself. After many trips though the drive through, I have to say they lost a star from me due to the hit or miss of the breakfast burger. I love the fact that they even offer such an item on the menu, however, my issues lies with the quality control. Depending the trip I have had welted lettuce, overcooked eggs, or mayonnaise all in one spot. Hopefully they will improve, but I will say this 50/50 on breakfast. Dinner services seem to hold to a better standard at this location. Previous review: A nice atmosphere exactly like others I’ve been too. Megan was a friendly waitress. I ordered the Cajun Burger extremely tasty. I’d definitely go back!
