I visited this place after reading a review where someone called their shepherd’s pie “the dish of their life.” It turned out to be a solid recommendation—the shepherd’s pie was worth trying, and the pretzel was quite decent too.
As for the beer, that’s always a matter of personal taste, so it’s hard to make sweeping comments. But for me, the IPA here didn’t leave much of an impression.
The midday heat outside was intense, and unfortunately, there didn’t seem to be much effort to make the outdoor seating more comfortable. Just a large fan or a few misting nozzles could’ve made a big difference. Drinking during the day might be a bit of a challenge because of the heat.

A great place to have lunch outside and enjoy the weather with some tasty food and good drinks. The food options are not extensive but offer just enough to satisfy a craving. Local places are always special and this one is worth going back to. The rootbeer is bomb as well.

A few years ago, I absolutely loved this place. My husband and I would drive 20 miles every week during the summer just to enjoy a date night at CFB. The brews were great, and the food was consistently delicious and creative. I still remember sandwiches made with sweet pickles, fresh-picked tomatoes, quality bread, and other thoughtful ingredients. The pot pies were especially memorable—comforting and full of flavor.

Unfortunately, the experience just hasn’t been the same over the past two summers. For example, tonight I ordered the hummus plate, but it was unavailable. I went with the tuna salad sandwich instead, which I’ve had and enjoyed in the past. What I received this time was disappointing: tuna mixed with mayo and mustard, topped with a slice of American cheese, a flavorless tomato, and lettuce on an average bun. It lacked the fresh dill, sweet pickle, and onions that made it special before. To add to the letdown, my cider was served warm.

It’s not just about tonight—this has happened multiple times now, with items being out of stock and the overall food quality declining. I’m genuinely disappointed and starting to think it might be time to find a new spot for our summer date nights. I’ve attached a pic of the tuna sandwich served tonight which I could have made at home- except I don’t have American cheese.

That said, I do still appreciate the live music—it’s one of the highlights that keeps the atmosphere enjoyable.

The service is great. We visited twice with a big group and they were very accommodating. The food is good. I had the pot pie which was good, but I wish it was creamier. I also tried the shepherds pie and it was also good, but way too oily. Tried the pretzel and the flavor was so good, but the consistency was just too hard. Considering all of that, I’d likely give them a 3rd try.

Stopped on a whim when traveling to Eugene. So glad we did!!! Possibly the best shepherds pie I’ve ever had! I was skeptical, so my wife ordered the dark sister sando so we had a backup to share. Glad we did because it was amazing! House pickled onions were amazing!!

Worth the stop. Was great to see an awesome brewery also pouring NA Guinness for us drivers out there.

This was a random find on my trip south and I’m happy for the detour off the main highway. The pot pies are as amazing as they sound. Served piping hot and good to the last drop. The draft list seems like there’s something to fit every taste including cider.

The food was super good! Highly suggest their French dip, it was great. It also seemed like they make their potato chips. Let me tell ya, I don’t like potato chips but gave these a try and holy moly, there wasn’t a chip left on my plate, they were also great dipped in the au jus.
The waiter was also really nice.
I gave it a 4/5 stars due to the chairs. My only complaint, they hurt to sit in…

So I literally went for the chicken pot pie…and it was excellent. Pretty cool brewpub with plenty of indoor and outdoor seating. Decent amount of handles, but only three beers of their own to choose from, however they have plenty of beer and cider on tap. The Row River Red was a good beer. Full bar as well for the win. Drink specials. The blood orange margarita was great. Good food and drinks and the outdoor seating was pleasant.
