Fantastic Experience
I had Vayla’s cater my child’s birthday party in Homestead and they were absolutely amazing! With the hot weather, the shaved ice was the perfect treat for all our guests, both kids and adults loved it! Communication was excellent from the start, and I even got to go in ahead of time for a flavor tasting to pick exactly what I wanted. The setup was professional and looked great, and the staff was friendly, patient, and wonderful with the children. Everything ran smoothly, and the quality of the shaved ice and flavors was top-notch. I highly recommend Vayla’s and will definitely be hiring them again for future events!

I love snow cones so im glad this is nearby!. I wish the cotton candy flavor was stronger but its still amazing. My mom did not like the anisette flavor because it tasted like cherry and it was red which she said is strange since its never red. She ate but said that it was not anisette flavor. Overall, I love snowcones I will return in the future but I hope maybe the flavors are altered a bit more to resemble what they are supposed to be.

Terrible service, these high school students you guys hire have completely downgraded the quality of your service. After my daughter didn’t even eat her ice, and mind you I asked for them not to fill it all the way and only a little bit they wanted to charge me 2 more dollars when I returned it exactly the same. It’s so embarrassing that she said “that’s not full” after she did not even give it to me filled to the top.

My daughters love Ice Shaved and this place has more than 50 different flavors and definitely is a great place. The staff is nice and you can sit inside or outside to enjoy your shave ice cream. The only downside is the floor is really sticky and I understand it’s for the drop of caramel but definitely needs to take care of this to improve the ambiance. I recommended for everyone to stop and relax.

Review for Vaylas – Disappointing Shaved Ice Experience
As someone from Barranquilla, Colombia, where raspao is a beloved and well-made treat, I had high expectations for Vaylas. Unfortunately, while the customer service was friendly and attentive, the product itself was a letdown.
The shaved ice was nearly melted by the time it was handed to me, turning into more of a sugary slush than the light, fluffy texture I was hoping for. In Barranquilla, a good raspao holds its form, allowing you to enjoy the perfect balance of finely shaved ice and syrup. Here, the texture and consistency were off, making the experience underwhelming.
I appreciate the effort to offer gourmet shaved ice, but the execution needs improvement. If they can perfect the ice consistency, Vaylas could be a great spot—but as it stands, it doesn’t compare to the raspao I’m used to.

Today I went by this shop with my Grandkids, something different and very appealing for kids. The girl who was serving and taking care of me and my grandkids was the most patient human I have ever met, dealing with my Grandkids is not an easy task, somehow she took the orders and nothing was wrong. The flavor, the presentation was beautiful, thank you Odalis for being such a sweetheart.

Absolutely love this place. Family owned and you feel it as soon as you enter, the atmosphere is warm and welcoming. Not your regular shaved ice spot, it’s very high end from the containers it comes in to the intense flavor selection (many to choose from, check out the arroz con leche combo) will be our new weekly treat from now on.
