We dined here on Friday the 13th as an early Valentine’s Day dinner and wow did we love it. My wife and I wanted to do something different and we were definitely treated to some good food and cocktails. Our server Shelby was attentive, informative and took great care of us with awesome recommendations. We decided to eat on the lighter side so we could enjoy the desserts as sometimes we overeat with our eyes and never get a change to experience the final course lol. My wife got the Fried green tomato BLT app, it had pork belly a nice sauce and just melted in your mouth, she also got the small gumbo and she immediately put it in her top 3 favorites that she has had. I Started off with the Mistress cocktail served in this awesome almost Elvira looking tiki mug, it was a nice Rum cocktail with some floral notes. I then proceeded to order the Cajun Carbonara and added some Andouille Sausage to it. WOW, that sauce was incredible and it tasted amazing. We boxed up our food so we could eat dessert and proceeded to order the Banana Pudding and the Croissant Bread Pudding. 20/10 would recommend. The Banana pudding was so creamy and the wafers were super thick they were almost like 1 inch thick shortbread cookies. The Croissant bread pudding was our servers favorite over the popular Beignets so I went with her choice and I ate the entire thing. We will Definitely be back and try the restaurant favorites for sure. This place was definitely worth it. Great meal, great atmosphere (nice and dark) and great drinks.

My friend and I decided to try Voodoo Bayou for the first time and went during lunchtime. We made reservations ahead of time, which wasn’t really necessary since it wasn’t busy but that worked out great for us.
When we walked in, the restaurant was very dark. I’ve been to my fair share of New Orleans–style restaurants around Orlando, and while I understand they’re going for a voodoo/gothic theme, the vibes just weren’t quite there for us. The host greeted us warmly and escorted us to our table, which was appreciated.
Our waiter, Bryce, was friendly and did a great job walking us through the menu. They offer a lunch special for $15.99, which is a nice deal. I ordered the Black Magic lemonade and waters for the table. For appetizers, I had the deviled eggs, and my friend ordered the gator tails both were good and a solid way to start the meal.
For entrées, I ordered the Creole mustard salmon. Unfortunately, it was very bland. Looking at the plate, I was excited to dive in, but the flavor just didn’t deliver. My friend ordered the lunch special, which included a cup of gumbo and a half shrimp po’boy, and she said hers was good.
We ended the meal with banana pudding to share. It wasn’t your typical banana pudding it tasted more like vanilla ice cream, very heavy on the vanilla bean, with a few slices of banana and cookies mixed in. Definitely different.
Overall, it was a unique experience, but not one that fully hit the mark for us. Some highlights, some misses, and interesting to try at least once.

The best Cajun everything. The gumbo, oysters and salad was amazing. The best I ever tasted. The service A-1 our server Jess was a sweet heart. Very articulate about the menu and service. Management was also spectacular with checking us. This wasn’t like a restaurant experience more like family. We’ll definitely b back. With others

What a great time and experience. Luis was great. From the service, to his food and drink recommendations were perfect. Was there to celebrate my partner’s birthday and he enjoyed every bit of it. Terrence was such a vibe as well. His rendition of singing happy birthday. Overall, just an awesome experience. Whenever we are back in town, will definitely stop in for sure.

A solid 3. Everything here was okay. Nothing extra over the top, I’d say the food was more touristy than true cajun. The coffee was not chicory, so I didn’t order beignets. The seasoning in the crawdad benedict wasn’t quite right either.
The atmosphere in the main restaurant is loud to say the least, I couldn’t hear my server, couldn’t hear anyone at my table over the live music. Vocalist was having an off day, voice kept cracking at higher ranges.
There’s a speakeasy Asian-style bistro to the right of the entry that opens at 5pm.
Finally, I think the Bloody Mary was very good. They have good cocktails here, their mixologists are good at what they do.
I would come back to try the Asian-style bistro.

We visited Voodoo Bayou today for brunch and we loved it. Very easily one of the best places to eat we’ve ever been to- a very close second to Lola Bistro in Cleveland (when it was open) We had the deviled eggs and gator tail apps, both of which were absolutely delicious. My husband had the prime rib, and said it was easily the best prime rib he’s ever had. Our daughter had the chicken and waffles which beat out Roscoe’s Chicken and Waffles in LA. I had the Shrimp & Crawfish Étouffée, and it was amazing. The cherry on top were the Beignets. Our server Steven was very nice and helpful as well as attentive. The resteraunt is absolutely beautiful as well. We’re so glad we stopped by!

Atmosphere was amazing. Our waiter was a little over the top for me. Food was plated beautifully but was subpar at best. The cornbread was the best thing I ate. The shrimp and grits first came out cold, they did take it back and brought a hotter one but it was lacking in salt. The waffle fries with ultra hard and to be honest Chik Fa La’s waffle fries are better. To be honest it’s a one and done for me.

This place definitely deserves the 4.8 rating that it has! The food was fantastic. We started with the fried green tomatoes and the cornbread. Both were great, but the tomatoes were unlike anything I’ve ever had before. For dinner we tried the jambalaya and gumbo; both were delicious. The atmosphere and service sealed the deal for this 5 star review!

In town visiting and this place was highly recommended. What they didn’t say how great their happy hour is and wonderful service.
I saw the oysters half off and OMG really fresh huge oysters, I had two dozen because they were so good. Same goes with for the deviled eggs, so rich and creamy, I swear I was tasting a tad of truffle, so good.
Then we went over to the Speak Easy side, so cool, with an Asian flair. We had the egg rolls and Mundo, both were homemade and huge and delicious.
The bar service on both sides was spot on, very friendly, made sure everything we needed was covered. We didn’t want for anything. Thanks guys!
Would I come here again? Absolutely!
