GIVE THIS PLACE YOUR MONEY! We have been coming here for 3 years and have never been disappointed. This truly is where Caribbean and soul food meets. The portions are generous and the flavors are incredibly authentic AND to die for. Thankfully we live about 45 minutes away or I’d be 400 pounds. The sweet heat salmon, rice and peas and collards are my personal favorite, but we’ve made our way through the menu and truly love everything! Please support this amazing local business and give this amazing place a whirl! WE LOVE BOOBY’S KITCHEN (and Ms. Booby )

A great discovery today in Jacksonville! First time here but it won’t be the last! I tried the jerk chicken and my husband tried the jerk chicken rasta pasta… chicken was fall-off-the-bone delicious! I had 2 sides with mine… plenty of food! The service was so welcoming and made you feel at home.

We were leaving once upon a child and had packed the kid in his cars eat already when my husband and I smelled something AMAZING and I just KNEW it was from boobys kitchen. So we walked in and asked what was cooking and he listed a few things they had cooking. Ordered the jerk chicken with collards, beans and rice and mac and cheese and KSBEJANAHEJWQK SO GOOD. I had never tasted these flavors before!!!! Coming back and trying everything on the menu for sure. The restaurant itself is really nice as well. Love the vibe of the place and everyone working here was warm and welcoming. Felt right at home. MAN this place is amazing, wish I came here sooner.

Booby is beautiful inside and out! You can tell she really cares about her restaurant and its customers. She knows a lot of them by name. She’s very attentive and accommodating. The food is amazing! The taste and quality is consistent. Definitely some of the best jerk chicken I’ve had and I’ve tried a fair share coming from NY/NJ. Portions are good and she also offers free refills on her lemonades and juices, which I thought was very generous since I believe they are made in house. Go here! You’ll never regret it.

I visited with a friend and unfortunately the experience was disappointing. There was no welcoming when we arrived, and the food was served cold. We didn’t mention it at the time because there was others dining and we didn’t want to make a scene. The oxtail dinner was $25 and the can soda was $2, bringing the total to $31.78 after tax plus a little tip. For that price, I expected better service and properly served food. Hopefully this is something that can be improved.

DELIVERED! Absolutely wonderful conversation and food. I got the curry chicken and she made it spicy for me when I asked. The Mac and cheese was phenomenal. I wish I got a picture but I reacted too quickly when the food arrived. If you’re looking for a good drink, the cola champagne is a mixture of cream soda and banana soda. OMG! This”GEM” right here! Listen my husband who was visiting from Memphis,TN and myself from New Bern,NC decided for our “date”night we would leave New Bern and head to Jacksonville,NC. Before we headed out ,my husband “Goggled” and “Yelped”and we both agreed this is the place.Once we arrived and entered a young man behind the register greeted us with a smile.He was very polite and professional.Right away he informed us what he was out of which was perfect.I was so happy to hear that the lamb-chops were available…yes! I was only thinking about my own belly once we ordered our food there was a beautiful Queen that came out and was so sweet and kind also. Not only will you get phenomenal service but the food was absolutely amazing! It was very flavorful and so good my husband ordered a to go pasta.This is a husband and wife power couple and they really know how to make you feel as if you were friends forever. I know for sure we will be back and I am a woman who was born with the gift of “sight”and the vibe I was receiving was intoxicating! This couple need to buckle up because I see not one but two more restaurants in their future.Please check them out because I promise you the atmosphere and food is truly delicious!
