Went and had dinner with a friend at Leo’s and it was quite good. I’ve not tried much Indian cuisine but I was very pleased with their selection, flavors and quantities of the food. We enjoyed the veggie Samosa which was by far my favorite and the onion Pakora for appetizers. We then had the lamb Biryani and the Chicken Chettinad which were both delightful. And don’t forget the Naan, we had butter and garlic Naan and both were fantastic. Leo himself came out to talk and tend to us which was very kind. There are no pictures of the appetizers sadly because we ate them up so quickly! There are vegetarian options and distinct allergy warnings.

Both owners took a moment to speak to me, and they were real easy to talk to. At some point, a delivery driver came by, and they asked if he’d like any food or drink as soon as they walked in, so that definitely left a great impression on me about their character. Amazing food! We had never tried anything like this before, but the food was sweet, spicy and very aromatic. Wonderful service by the staff and manager. They helped us out and recommended dishes while also explaining the flavor profiles. We ordered the Butter chicken masala, the coconut shrimp curry, and the garlic naan. As you can see we definitely enjoyed the food.

My parents, sister, husband and son and I just finished a delicious authentic dinner feast at Leo’s and while my husband is driving us back to our hotel in South Padre Island and I couldn’t wait to write a review for this GEM in Port Isabel! The food was divine, in fact we ordered more after devouring every dish! The Paneer Grill Tikka was a perfect started and the Shrimp Tikka Masaala was so SO good we ordered another serving! The dal tarka was authentic and perfect with white rice and the butter naan, garlic naan, and plain naan were all fresh hot straight out of the tandoor! We also LOVED the authentic Hyderabadi Dum Goat Biryani, the goat meat was so tender and well seasoned AND Halal! Plenty of HALAL Lamb and Goat options! Ended our meal with the delicious ras malai and chai. It was a meal worth raving about and if I could give them 6 stars I would! Leo, it was such a pleasure meeting you and getting to know you! You are such a warm, friendly and welcoming person and your restaurant is going to be a MUST VISIT destination of ours whenever we are on holiday here! Fabulous service overall, lovely atmosphere. Super clean and well stocked restrooms too! Massive free parking lot! I mean…what more could anyone want?!
