Great food but servers just sit in the back and only check on you periodically. Kids were running around in the kitchen

I love a place with old memorabilia everywhere. I ate here one other time like 25 yes ago. So glad we we stopped in today. Our server was an absolute sweetheart. So friendly and helpful. Had the fish and shrimp dinner. The fish is small but very good. And the shrimp were amazing. Before I left I ordered a 6 piece hotwings to take home and OMG they were better than I had hoped. I will definitely be back for more of them. Great job Bouser’s!!!

Restaurant has gone completely downhill since its original owners (The Bousemans) sold recently.
The last time we ate here, someone ordered a BLT sandwich, instead of a BLT they were brought a cheeseburger, when the waitress was told of the mistake, they took the cheeseburger back, took the burger off of the sandwich, and threw TWO (2) tiny pieces of bacon on the existing sandwich, and brought it back out (I know they swapped the burger off of it because BLT’s come on toasted bread, and never have American cheese on them at Bousers)

When confronted about the two tiny bacon pieces (they usually put at least 4 on their BLT’s) the waitress just stared at us like “so?”

(And that’s been how mistakes are now addressed at “bousers” Barn, The lady that now manages the place just looks at you as if to say “So? What do you want me to do?” And then does nothing to address or remedy your problem)

Whereas the Bousers would always find a way to make it right for you on the OFF chance something ever occurred below board on their watch when they owned the place.

Now the management, and their nepotistic workers could care less what your experience entails, doubly so if you are of Europid American descent.

The only reason they got a four star atmosphere rating is because the place hasn’t changed much aesthetically speaking, and the reason why it didn’t get five stars is because of the few items of memorabilia and photos that were removed when the ownership changed, and the fact that there are no longer any warm glow candles or other products to buy up near the checkout (it just looks plain, and empty)

This is a quaint little place, just a little off the beaten path. I stopped by on a whim and I am so glad that I did! It’s a family owned business that is maintained by the second generation. The food is mostly family recipes that are absolutely delightful. If you like sweet in your pickles eggs and beets, they are most definitely a must try! The owner served me and I felt like I was at home. He is very warm and sincere and the service was prompt and timely. If you are in the area, you can’t go wrong with a stop @ the barn.

Made our annual trip to Winchester. We’d eaten over there several years in a row and decided to look around the area. This looked too cool to pass up so we went out of our way to make it over here. What a classic small town local restaurant! Things are just so simple, I love it. The decoration is very fun, it’s clean, the outside is well maintained, even the old school bathrooms (outside and at the rear of the building) are clean and maintained. Good food and personable service! Thanks for being a great establishment!

A unique environment with all the decorations and items hung on the walls. Feels like you are in a small museum. Tried their fried chicken (all dark meat) and loved it. Friendly staff and good food. A must-try place in Union City

Great place for a chicken dinner. First time here. Neat decor and lots of it. I only took a few picture because of the amount of people. There is a lot more than what is pictured

I love this restaurant so much. We come to eat with my husband’s grandparents every now and then and I love it every single time. After trying a few different items I just get chicken, mashed potatoes, mac n cheese, and sweet tea. The fried chicken is some of the best in the area, the prices are great, the menu is perfectly diverse and sized, and the atmosphere is wonderful it’s like what cracker barrel used to be with so much charm and cute decor. My favorite is all of the cow figures! They have blue bell ice cream for dessert which is a 10/10 brand. A fantastic little hole in the wall I’d make the drive for anytime.

The chicken was good. The staff was very welcoming but what I liked the most was the candles and goodies to buy. I think I paid more attention to the old time pictures and nick-nacks on the walls. A very cozy place!
