The river floating restaurant had a living view and indoor vibe. I went on a day of flooding, so the place seemed to be moving quite a bit with the ways. I’m not sure if that’s normal for this location, as I’ve only been once. But if moving side to side while eating and drinking will make you feel some type of way, this spot isn’t for you. I got a canned kombucha and salad, which was 30$ before tip. The waitress was very attentive and friendly.

4 stars for the view and drinks alone, but service was not too friendly. On a beautiful sunny fall day, we called ahead to see if the outdoor seating was open. we wanted to enjoy outside with our dog. But the server appeared annoyed with serving us especially when my husband asked about the bathroom. But the sunset views and weather was great as well as thr drinks!

Had lunch on a Friday and it was delicious. I had the calamari tacos which the 2 tacos were filled with calamari and the side coconut Pinapple salsa was the perfect combo. Hubs had shrimp tacos which also had plenty of shrimp and wonderful flavors.
We will be back for sure.

The Puffin Cafe is a hidden gem on the Columbia River—accessible by boat or by land via the Camas/Washougal boat launch. Whether you’re out for a day on the water or just looking for a fun spot to relax, this floating restaurant is a must-stop.
The drinks are cold, the food is great, and the staff is always friendly. It’s a rare experience to sit out on the deck of a floating restaurant and watch boats cruise in and out of the marina. The restroom is clean (customers only), and the overall vibe is laid-back and welcoming.
Pro tip: If you’re boating, call ahead and slide right in to pick up your order. One of the most enjoyable and unique spots on the river—highly recommend!

Wouldn’t it be nice if people were actually honest about reviewing establishments? Puffin Cafe is a ‘good’ place to visit as far as the overall experience goes. My wife and I visited, and we had: Popcorn scallop basket, Halibut salad with blackberry dressing, a Pepsi and a Blueberry Cider. ($60 before tip) My scallop basket was standard. Deep fried frozen bay scallops with waffle fries. Lots of them (fries). I will say the pineapple horseradish dipping sauce was quite-good and unique. The coleslaw, as another mentioned that I read, was just sliced cabbage, almost dry. My wife’s halibut salad was two halibut pieces (filets) on greens with berry compote and a creamy garlic-lime dressing. Like the fish was added as an after-thought . The location is cool. Our attractive waitress was very attentive. Good music was playing at a reasonable volume. The food came out in a timely fashion. If the food was better this place would score 4, but it’s not. $3.85 for a mason jar Pepsi. I wanted to try the Pineapple upside-down cake, but we were full/had had enough of it.

Recommended by a friend so we drove here on a beautiful day to be by the water. Tried the coconut shrimp and it was good but wish I had gotten the halibut fish n chips like my partner because they were so delicious. Kids enjoyed having smiley fries for the first time ever with their cheeseburgers.

This restaurant is so unique and in a very beautiful location. I find it so much fun to be on a floating house munching on our meal. The service was friendly and the price them to be slightly expensive. We had fish tacos, clam steamer, fish, and chips. The steamer was delicious. I didn’t care for my fish tacos due to the very blended tastes, and not many flavors it also has a very funky aroma. As for the fish and chips, the fish was fresh but very dried due to being overcooked.
I like the fact that it has outdoor and indoor seating. They also have a dock area for jet skis or boats to dock in was kind of neat!
