Tony and I stopped in Greenwiod SC at Fat Daddy’s BBQ. It was not hard to find with GPS! We wanted BBQ and googled it!!
First choice BBQ Shack was closed and this was our 2nd choice!
Tony wasn’t happy with no beer options but he got a Southern Sweet Tea which was too sweet for me so I did a half n half
I ordered Fried Green Tomatoes on special for $3 *it arrived with 6 plus Alabama White BBQ sauce for dipping!
Tony ordered 6 Ribs w sides of Baked Beans and Mac n Cheese! I took a bite of each!! They were delicious and homemade but I’m dieting. I ordered a pull pork sandwich and pulled meat off the bun to eat …

Food is usually great whenever I go, but tonight was the first time we got an order to go. And we were planning to take the food and eat somewhere else, (but not at home) , however, when I reached the car, I realized no utensils were in the to go bag. Went back inside, thinking it was just an oversight, and asked for utensils. At first the lady at the front said “Sure!” But then she walked back to kitchen, and the reply was immediately, “We don’t have plastic ware, utensils” as if they don’t even stock any, ever. So I had to walk outside to my BBQ pork plate with Mac and cheese and cole slaw, and figure out what my next steps are to eating this. Maybe that’s what there is a Dollar General in the same parking lot, so that people like me could go and spend another $4 on utensils. My question is – how are you sending items from a BBQ joint to offices, etc with Door Dash, and not providing plastic ware??? Or was this just a moment when you were out?

Get there early on Friday and Saturday night for their $12.50 pork steak platter which includes 2 sides. It’s a deal no one can beat and it’s delicious. This place has become my husband’s and my favorite go-to restaurant. Love the atmosphere and friendly staff. I definite must place to try for local flare.

We went in to grab some bbq and the lady was kind as could be that took our order. The food came out super quick which to me was a flag. I was right, the pork plate I got had good flavor and I enjoyed it. The fries was limp soggy and cool. Nasty! The Mac an cheese was OK. It was room temp barely. The brisket was burnt slightly and dry. So 3 stars for flavor of the meat and sweet service from the waitress!

I went in and got 3 plates tonight and my child’s chicken tender was literally the size of my pointer finger, the serving of the sides we of on our two meat combo literally wasn’t even a serving. The brisket was nothing but fat and the chicken leg quarters were burnt. When I called to speak with a manager of the store I could clearly hear the man ask “what do they need” the little guy who answered asked my issues and I addressed them and he said he would let the manager know so it doesn’t happen again. I spent $50 on 3 plates and it was not worth it.!!

Food was really good. Nice smoke ring on the meat. Really liked the flavor of the sauces. Definitely different than any sauce I’ve had back home in Alabama. Hush puppies were made to order. Cole slaw and potato salad were on point too. If I am ever back out this way again, I will definitely be eating here.

Disappointing experience. Staff was friendly but the food was a let down. Chicken was dry along with the ribs. Mac and cheese had no flavor, and the potato salad was decent. The proteins had potential as the flavor was good. But it seemed like it may have been sitting around for awhile.

The place was quaint, very clean and the service was spot on. We ordered at the counter and within minutes had our plates of food delivered to the table. I could only think that there could be a larger selection of BBQ sauces on the tables however, with that being said, the 2 they had were delicious and I, personally, didn’t need anymore.

I ordered the pulled pork BBQ plate. The barbeque was tender and moist like it should be. The cole slaw and potato salad are very good as well. The dining area is clean with adequate spacing between the tables. My food arrived at the table as I was sitting down from getting my drink. Great fast, efficient, friendly service. I will definitely be going back.

After being closed all week you’d think they’d be prepared…man were we wrong. Not only did they not have any brisket (which is the thing most people go to a bbq restaurant for) they didn’t even have a single beer. To top it off, they only had two racks of ribs left…and they only started with 4 total for the night…and not back ribs…but side ribs. So we ordered the last scraps of ribs they had and hash…which was a watery white rice/emulsified pork monstrosity with bits of canned pineapple. The saddest part of it all was that the baked beans, that seemingly came from a can, were the best part. It’s hard to be this bad, but man I have to applaud them, because this level of failure is an accomplishment in itself.
