I visited the Roti at 80 E Lake St Chicago today and ordered a falafel wrap with several sides. The experience was disappointing. The roti they used as the wrap was cold, hard, chewy, and rubbery, and it couldn’t hold the ingredients in place. Wrap as such includes falafel 4 small ones, some veggies options like persian cucumber, cabbage picked, carrots, tzatziki, corn, and some sauce options. It is definitely not worth for $13.50. No saffron rice or any rice included. Even the staff member preparing my order mentioned he was struggling to close the wrap, which shows the issue isn’t just the fillings — the roti itself is not suitable for wrapping. A tortilla or soft flatbread would have worked much better. I understand Roti may be trying to stay true to their name by using roti, but roti only works when it’s soft, warm, and fresh. In this case, it completely fell apart and ruined the meal. I’m sharing this feedback so the team can reconsider the wrap base or improve the freshness and texture of the roti.

My favorite thing about roti is how clean the food tastes. I get the chicken bowl with saffron rice. And it never disappoints. The gluten free pitas are surprisingly good.
The place is always clean when we come in. Parking is free and plentiful.
My kids love the fruit punch drink and falafel.
We come here about 1-2 times per month.

I order here several times a week. The food is so fresh and wonderfully seasoned. I love the build your bowl and my fav is the harissa chicken. Their pita is always so warm and soft. The falafel is delish, and when they have baklava order it no matter what. I have not been disappointed.

This is $14 worth of food? I ordered delivery from here and the bowl came less than halfway filled, as well as missing utensils. The food quality was fine, but that’s an extremely small amount of food for the price they ask for. Would definitely recommend considering another Mediterranean location that will give you a lot more for less. Extremely disappointed.

Excellent fast casual meal for fresh and clean eating. Portions were generous and the food was delicious. I was able to eat an entire meal for under 600 calories. App and online ordering can cut the wait during busy times. Highly recommend.

I’m conflicted. The Service here is great but the Quality of ingredients not so much. My past few visits the ingredients haven’t tasted fresh. It’s a night & day difference between other locations.

Delicious food. The dining area could be cleaner. Service is excellent and food looks and taste fresh and delicious. You can order off the menu or create your own. They have unlimited toppings and a large variety of sauces. Portion is good. Prices are reasonable.

I ordered for p[ickup from Roti for the first time yesterday and was very pleased! I have Celiac’s, so this eatery was recommended to me on a gluten-free phone app as a good option, since everything is gluten free except for the pitas — and gluten-free pitas are offered as well. The ordering and pickup were no problem. My food was prepared as requested with a clear readout ticket of what I ordered, including a large reminder of the gluten-free pita and extra note of my request to avoid cross contact. The food was delicious, and there was so much of it that I saved the leftovers of the half the I couldn’t eat from being too full for a second meal. I definitely plan to reorder!
