La Torta Loca is one of those spots that quietly does everything right. The tortas are huge, packed with flavor, and clearly made with care—not slapped together. The bread is fresh, the meats are well-seasoned and juicy, and the balance of toppings is spot on. You can tell they’re not cutting corners.
The birria is rich and comforting, and the micheladas are exactly what you want them to be—bold, cold, and refreshing. Portions are generous for the price, which is refreshing these days.
The vibe is casual and welcoming, and the staff is friendly and efficient without being pushy. It feels like a neighborhood place you keep coming back to, not a trendy spot trying too hard.
If you’re craving a proper torta or solid Mexican comfort food, this place delivers. Easy recommendation. I’ll definitely be back.

Ordered the Torta with Fries! Great sandwich. The bread was soft the meat was cooked with great seasoning! Nice thin slices of guacamole which I love! The atmosphere was cozy and the service was great considering the owners cooked and served us. They didn’t have regular tea, which I was kinda disappointed. The Fries could have been a healthier portion, and the bummer is they close at 7pm because of the location they are in. This though with great prices will be one of my top restaurants to goto now!

I was really craving a torta so I came here just because it had what I was looking for in the name. It’s definitely not fancy and it’s located in a shopping center. The service was good. You just order at the counter, pay and then grab it when it’s ready. Cheap price for what you get and you can watch sports too. I’ll be back

This is a great small locally own restauran were you can support local Hispanic business in Tulsa. I don’t usually go out to eat but I make always make an exception for local businesses.
Their specialty are tortas but they have a wide variety of Hispanic dishes so you cannot go wrong and they also have vegetarian dishes if you don’t want any meat. I have had their pambazos to go and it was really good. One of their other popular tortas is la Cubana. I highly recommend trying this one if you are not sure what you want to get from their menu which can be a bit overwhelming when its your first time there. I have also had their sopes it was my first time eating them and they were super yummy, and their agua de horchata was amazing too! Everything is always fresh and it its guarantee to be really delicious. The staff is also very attentive as well.
Overall, I highly recommend this to anyone that likes Mexican food.

First time stopping by La Tropa Loca and I was not ready for how good the food was. The tacos are legit, the service is quick, and it just has that real-deal feel to it. You can tell it’s where locals go.
Kinda random, but while I was eating, I saw a tow truck from Miklos Towing loading up a car across the street. I was like damn, someone’s having a rough day — but hey, at least they showed up fast. Anyway, 10/10 for the food. I’ll be back for sure.

I love their food! Only down side to it is that they don’t offer you refills on drinks. It’s hard to save the drinks until the food comes, especially when you order chips and salsa or a different side item before the meal. They never come to ask how everything is or if we need anything else. And I’d feel rude to wave my glass around for a refill. But other than the drink issue I enjoy the food!

Very friendly and welcoming service the food was nice and hot even when ordering take out. I had the quesabirria, 2 tacos de barrbacoa and 2 de carnitas. The actual meat of the birria was good but the consomé lacked flavor. It was however, very pleasantly cheesey. The barrbacoa was not overly fatty or greasy unfortunately for me I don’t like the sweet flavor that some recipes have but it was good for what it was just needed some salt. The carnitas were also good a little on the dry side but had a nice flavor and nicely seasoned. The salsa was very underwhelming and not very flavorful with no distiction taste wise between red and green. It was also very liquidy and dripped onto the plate with very little left on the actual taco.
